I actually really like the dress you already have…but if you’re going for something less subtle, the other one is pretty too.

Go with the first one!! In my personal opinion it’s the much prettier dress.  But much more important than that is that I think YOU like the Marissa better.  All you have to do is look at the way you described the voting options to the know the Marissa is the one for you.  You call it beautiful, and the Casablanca you call “over the top”.  I think you are second guessing yourself because you feel like the Casablanca is what a bride SHOULD wear because it’s her one and only chance to wear a big ball gown.. but really, you’re more a Marissa kind of girl : )

It sounds to me like you are leaning towards the first dress and it also sounds like it would make more sense at your venues. I keep thinking all eyes will be on me for a lot of the day. I don’t want to feel uncomfortable in my dress.

Personally, I love the Marissa on you. It looks fabulous! I’m a big fan of Casablanca but I really like the dress you have much better.

I had huge debates with my dress style, although I was torn between full length and short 🙂

On one hand, it’s your wedding day, you should go all out with a gown-gown because you’ll never get to wear one again. But my style was the short dress, so I went with it.

For you though, I would honestly keep the dress you have. I mean, it just makes you look incredibly awesome, and it also has a strong sense of romantic glamor. I love it.

They’re both COMPLETELY diff dresses! choose whichever one you want! The Marissa is gorgeous on you(I heart lace). The other one is more of a fun and flirty. But the Marissa might go better with your outside theme. You have a hard decision to make!

I like the one you have better too, and, if you’re the kind of person that cares about “matching,” then it also matches your venue—romantic, outdoors, etc. I also think you look fantastic in a strapless vs. a halter.  (I may be a little bit biased though because I bought a lace dress very similar to yours for my outdoor venue–and we’re built almost the same!)

The casablanca dress is just as beautiful as your dress and it doesn’t look that princess-y to me at all. The question is, do you really want to buy another dress? is it really worth it?

Its common to second guess your first dress choice, lots of girls do it. Sounds like you are just nervous about going with a more sophisticated dress then you dreamed of. And thats ok! If I wore the dress I dreamed of when I was 7, it would be that hot-pink, long sleeved ballgown that Aurora wore!

and hey, lots of real-live princess don’t wear ballgowns. See picture below of america’s princess:

I’m really anti-princess dress…I just don’t think they have the sophisticated feel of your beautiful, modern dress that you already purchased.

I like the Casablanca dress especially if it was a strapless swetheart, instead of the halter. You have a nice figure so I think that dress would look good on you, just as much as the Marisa does. However, based on the description of your venue and event, I think what you have now will match the theme better. If matching the theme is not an issue with you, then I say go with what makes you feel comfortable and good. It is your day and you are the bride. Guests will never think you are overdressed or your dress will look “over the top” at your own wedding. If the Casablanca makes you feel good, get it! You can be “tasteful” any other time. 😉

I think they both look very bridal.  I personally can’t think of another occasion where I would wear a white lace dress.  I was very conflicted between what was most flattering on me and what made me feel like a bride.  It took 3 dresses but I finally found a happy medium.  Maybe keep looking?

This probably won’t help, but I love the Casablanca dress. I was a three bride dress myself so if you have no financial worries, I think you should go for the dress of your dreams. And who says a modern woman can’t wear a ballgown?? You have all the other days of your life to look sleek and elegant.
