We are both pretty well on the way to heavily tattooed and we take them super seriously so it would have to be symbolic – no names ! We were visiting St. Thomas and were going to get little matching pirate skull and crossbones, mine pink and his black but couldn’t fit it in. Plus it would have to be the last day we were there so that I don’t have to worry about sun and stuff.
The big thing for us is where to get it. I already did both shoulders, middle back, ribs (ow), lower stomach (ow), ankle and juuuust got my whole inner bicep done in September (owowow) so I’m kind of running out of big places…

That would be an adorable foot tattoo. I have a little star on my foot and I love it.

I already have mine and FH name tattoo on my lower back with the phrase “lucky in love”. we are also getting our wedding date in roman numerals on our ring fingers after we get married. so I’m going with yes. he’s the most important person in my life…and people get tattos for silly reasons. I love my tattoo…and so does he. We don’t look at marriage as something that is going to inevitably end. our vows are “to eternity” and I take that seriously.

correction: “for eternity” sorry lol

i wouldn’t ever get one of his name, but i already have one that “reminds me of him” on my shoulder. it says “my beloved is mine and i am his” in hebrew.
i want another one for him, and he wants to get his first one for me too.

I’m getting a tattoo ‘for’ Fiance, but it’s definitely not his name.
I’m getting a Claddagh in representation of my love for him 😉

My guy isnt exactly a fan of tattoos on women.. hes already shut down my idea of one I have wanted to get! But I think it would be romatic. I told him for his next tat he should get a few roses to represent me (my middle name is Rose). I think if its tastefully done then absolutely go for it. If its a Bret Michaels type deal with his name on the back of your neck… not so much 😉

I think I am going to have his last name (going to be mine) tattooed on me (maybe back of the neck) with three stars around it to represent the number of people in our family, then I will add 1 star for each child I have later. It is still a maybe, I don’t think I want a tattoo haha

I have four already and i like things to be even so i’m not sure where i would put it, But i would get a music symbol because he play’s and writes music 🙂

i only have one tattoo, it’s on my hip. it’s a swallow (bird). they say that sailors got them because when they came home from their journey, the swallows would come to the ship and bring them home again. so i got that one as a nod to the journey of independence and knowing that no matter how far i went or what happened while i was on my own, i would always find my way home again.
i think when we get married i will add the banner to what i have now. on our first valentine’s day, we were in a bar and i wrote in latin on his hand. he asked what it meant and i told him he was a smart boy and would figure it out. i had written, ‘now i know what love is’. so i think it’s the perfect way to represent our relationship, without writing names for anything like that. my last one (or so i say now…) will be a matching swallow when we have children, that will be the next great journey of my life, and i think the banner for Fiance & me connecting the two will be perfect!

Love it! Glad someone’s on the name bandwagon with me!
My Fiance got this tattoo when we got engaged. (We’re huge fans of Maine, vacationed there when we were growing up, live there every summer now, fell in love there, got engaged there, getting married there… hence the tattoo!) I love it and love it even more each time I see it. It’s on his upper thigh, so it’s really only for my viewing! 😉
I don’t know if I can beat him on this one and I’m terrified of tattoos but I think I MAY get his initials really tiny on the inside of my wrist. Nothing close to the pain of his though!

Back in the day I always thought I’d tattoo my husband’s name under my wedding ring. But then I grew up and it turns out I have commitment issues (a tattoo is forever!) and I don’t really care for tattoos in general anyway, so that’s definitely not going to happen.

DH and I both have tattoos already, so it might be a cool idea for us to get matching ones…but never a name. Ever. He thinks carving your SO’s name into a tree is bad luck, and I think getting a tattoo of your SO’s name is even worse!

I don’t know?? I heard about it a couple of years ago but have never met anyone who actually used it. It’s a little pricey, but prob not as much as laser removal (and definitely not as painful!) I will definitely make a thread on here if I use it to let everyone know 🙂
You are probably right…… UGH. I wish I knew someone who had used it!!

Yeah……. Amazon reviews of it were CRAP. And yes, It’s all black ink and it’s pretty darn small. Maybe I can ask for laser removal as a Christmas gift this year LMAO
