@badabing88:

@s2bmrscook:  here she is! She’s still got a little bit of work, mostly shading to be done, but you get the idea πŸ™‚

@HeatherMM:  I *love* your cherry blossom tattoo and I’m not even into tattoos (for myself, I think a lot of people really rock them).  It’s gorgeous!

I have 2!

Hibiscus flower on my front left hip, the first tattoo I go when I was 19. I just really liked it! Still happy with it πŸ™‚

My second one I got this past November and got touched up in April. I have to get another touch up though, my foot doesn’t seem to want to take the blue ink very well.

My dad passed away when I was a kid. The bass was his custom designed bass that he played (basically his other child). The “I love you” on the top is his handwriting that I pulled off a postcard. “Brown Eyed Girl” was our song.

I know the bass is a lefty in the tattoo (and the real bass is a righty), but I really wanted the tattoo on my left foot and had to get a mirror image so it wouldn’t look weird. I think it’s perfect πŸ™‚

My foot definitely hurt a LOT more than my hip. I’m totally not looking forward to the next touch up!

My anchor.  I got it a few months ago (picture is a few days after – its not nearly as dark and thick now) and I love it.  Its on the inside of my heel (if you can’t tell).

I only have one so far, and I apologize in advance for the instagram filter πŸ˜› I couldn’t find the photo that was fresh from the shop.

I want to get more, in fact I want my whole upper back in a nautical theme, but I’m so indecisive. It took me 4 years to convince myself to get this one. Plus I faint at the sight of needles…

somehow I didn’t pass out at all during this one πŸ˜‰

I have two tattoos,  The first one I got when I was 22 or so as a test to see if I could even tolerate being tattooed, I threw up and almost passed out when I had my belly button pierced. I got a collection of stars including a nautical one for my dad, in purple, gray and black because they are my favorite colors.  I can’t find the photo of that one on my computer, I may be able to pull it off of myspace if I remember the password. lol

My other tattoo I love, I got a tree with my family’s star signs carved into the trunk in order of age, so dad, mom, then little sister.  Both of my tattoos were done by Chris Allen who used to work at Atomic Tattoo in Baton Rouge, not sure where he is now.  This was taken fairly soon after the second session was finished so it’s a little red in the picture.

@s2bmrscook:  I did but we’re compromising a little. No wrist, so now I need to figure out where it goes

There are some beautiful pieces of work here!

I only have a tiny one on my foot, that I got with my Mom. She was always telling us to wish on things as kids, and when she became very ill we spent a whole summer wishing on shooting stars. We would both wish for a diagnosis of her illness, so it could be treated. Eight years after our wish came true, we are still wishing on shooting stars (for other things of course).

It’s on my right side, not sure if you can tell that from the picture.  I can’t wait to get more tattoos after the wedding!!  I’m waiting out of respect for both of our parents because none of them really like tattoos.    I want to start working on a quarter or half sleeve next of flowers done in watercolor style.

@BakeosaurusRex:  that’s an absolutely beautiful story and tattoo to honour your mom. So happy to hear that the outcome was so positive! Smile

So, not to thread jack, but where on an admittedly pudgy body would this look good? It will be tweaked a bit since I don’t care for pink too much and I will likely change a little more, but it will be this basic design.
