I also have a tattoo (on my back) that I’m thinking of having covered for my big day. Would love to know the best way to do this as well

I don’t have any tattoos, so I can’t actually help, but I just wanted to say that I LOVE your “this too shall pass” tattoo!  I’ve been thinking of having a small tattoo on the side of my ribcage, but I’m too afraid of the pain 🙁

Haha, my mother sees me in my dress from the front and starts to tear up about how beautiful I look. Then I walk past her and she can see my back … and tears dry up and she immediately complains about “that stupid snake!” 😛  I’m letting it fly, though … sure, it looks a little ridiculous with my dress, but I guess that’s the price I pay for getting a massive back tattoo that I absolutely love 99.9% of the time!

I agree with you since it will look weird with just the pass showing up, so it make sense to cover it up.

I have a small tattoo on my shoulder that I covered up for my wedding – just didn’t want to see it in pictures even though my entire family knows it’s there.

I used this:

It’s a tattoo concealer from Kat Von D. It worked really well – I had to use a couple coats but it held up and didn’t come off on my dress. Highly recommend.

Depending on your flesh tone, you might possibly be able to find a bandage to cover it? I woudl just worry that makeup would rub off on your dress…

I got a tattoo last year on my left shoulder blade.  It’s a picture of the long island sound and says Rest In Peace Dad 2/4/60 – 2/12/11…. you can see the entire tattoo in my dress.  I don’t mind that it’s showing because it reminds me of him, but my mother HATES IT! Not just hate, she totally despises it and insists I cover it up for the wedding… I think I’m going to leave it uncovered…

I have two tattoos on my back. I’m not planning on covering them.

So glad you posted this.  I’m trying to cover one on my back, too, and don’t know what to use.  I’m going to go check out the links PPs have posted.  Thanks for the help, ladies!

My MUA also offered airbrush tattoo cover-up services. So if you are planning to have airbrush make-up anyway, you may want to ask your MUA if he/she can do a tat cover-up too.

I’d go with airbrush so it doesn’t look like  makeup. I have used dermablend n Kat Von d and both rubbed off on my white tank top and didn’t match my skin tone. I got it done at sephora to try and match but no luck. I heard with airbrush they can put something on top do it doesn’t rub off.  I was gonna do that too but decided to just showcase mine. I’m wearing allure 8764 :)I also have a cpl cherry blossoms now on my left shoulder. But will be covered by my cap sleeves.

Hmmm maybe I should look into this for “Lion” or might make him wear long sleeves so we dont have to see the tat of the ex wife’s name on our wedding day >.< he calls it “the scar”

btw how much is tattoo removal? lol
