i have a foot tattoo that runs parallel with the side of my foot (parallel with the ground) if that makes sense. my shoes and sandals always rub on it, and sand seems to make it fade as well. i have had it for a year and gotten it touched up once. it definitely faded (has not bled) more than my others, but it’s so cute it’s totally worth it! if you don’t mind maintenance, foot tattoos are great.
it did hurt more than any others, but it’s over and done with and i love it! just make sure you know that there is a little extra maintenance on foot tattoos

Foot tattoos tend to wear more quickly because they are usually in an area that receives direct sunlight, and flexes with every step. Any tattoo that is in a bony or less-fleshy area will definitely hurt more than one somewhere with a lot of “padding”, like an upper arm or buttock.

What about upper thigh? Easy to cover for job and easy to see yourself.

I have 3 tattoos… one is on my foot and the other two are on my spine
omg my foot hurt the most… but it’s my favorite one! If i went back in time i would do it again… the pain was worth it!
It’s brightly coloured and it hasn’t faded at all. wearing a shoe the next day was impossible LOL good thing i had a day off work already planned
it’s my design to which took me a whole year to finish.

I turned green when I got my foot tattoo. I thought I was going to pass out. I have 7 tattoos, one of which covers the entire right side of my back. The foot hurt THE MOST and was the easiest fastest one I have. It took maybe a half hour. I have 12 hours into my back and nothing hurt like my foot. OUCH!!!!! BUT, I love it and I’d do it all again. I got it 15 years ago and its faded, but not to bad. I’m surprised. I thought it would be worse off by now. I’ll probably get it touched up soon. I say go for it…just remember to keep you foot out of full on shoes and socks!
