I am kind of clueless when it comes to taxes, this our first year being married. Is it better file joint or seperate? I have mortgage which isn’t in my Darling Husband name.

File together. It may not give you any tax benefits, but it will be easier.

Depending where you are….in Canada you have to file together if you are married.
