I got a response about the dress I ordered asking about the fabric… it was not good in my oppinion. The “beading” was costume sequens at best… so tacky. Do not order from these people.

I ordered a dress from this company and I am so dissapointed!!!! The fabric looks nothing like the picture on the website. The beading looks like it came from the dollar tree.  I waisted $200.00.  My 12 year old could have made the dress.

@peanut85

That is a Maggie Sottero dress. I can’t remember the style number and I’m pretty sure it has been discontinued.

I placed an order with this site just yesterday, before it dawned on me that i should have done a review search before paying (an oversite i blame on currently having a very bad head cold.)

Everything i’ve read makes me not only afraid of what i will receive(if anything), but also very sad since i spent more money then i could afford right now and can no longer cancle my order without losing more then half of my money.

Now i’m worried about the amount i will have to pay in customs fees. Has anyone from alberta canada ever ordered from this site? If so, what were your fees?

Also, to all of you ladies who ordered wedding dresses and were disapointed, what KIND of dresses did you order? I’ve seen a few posts from woman who were happy with their dresses that included pictures and the dresses were simple flowey garmets that looked lovely…

The dress i ordered was this one…

http://www.tbdress.com/product/A-Line-Princess-Strapless-Chapel-Train-Wedding-Dress-For-Brides-2011-New-Style-Wd0220-358224.html

I knew when i ordered it, it wouldn’t be as nice as the photo…but is there any hope at all that it might at least be wearable?

If not, would anyone be able to tell me who actually makes this dress?

@Jinxed:  I ordered 4 dresses in total from them, my dress and my 3 year olds dress were perfect but the 2 dresses for our 13 and 14 year old girls were the wrong color.  They sent brown instead of black.  I’ve basically come to the comnclusion that I can write them off – They (TB Dress) say that as it is taffeta it depends on the light and it doesn’t matter how many photos I take in defferent lighting it is still the wrong lighting.  Never mind that black is black and brown is brown.  I found that for all 4 dresses the workmanship was good and the material lovely and all 4 were indeed beautiful dresses, it was only ever the color I disputed with them.  The train on the wedding dress was longer than in the photo (in the photo it didn’t look as though it had one at all) but the dress is still beautiful and I am still happy with it and I have ordered from them since.  The new dresses are being made now and if they come back the wrong color I will slag them all every which way I can  – once is unfortunate, twice is incompetence.

I found it difficult that they won’t allow you to send anything back without their consent first, as if they had allowed me to then they would have seen for themselves that the dresses were the wrong colors, in meantime I hope I haven’t been silly buying from them a second time!

@MeggyRaine:  Oh and the other thing I liked was that they label the parcels as ‘dress for gift’ so you don’t get stung with customs fees 🙂

Hello ladies I paid for my dress from TB dress on the 31st of July 2012, I did it extra early just in the case it would arrive late or things go horribly wrong. I am getting married March 2013. After I paid for the dress I bumped into all these nasty comments and one or two good ones, I was horrified, but realised that cancelling the order would not help as I saw from other peoples comments, so I just decided to hold on and pray. So I prayed and asked my other friends to pray that all things would go well. The dress then arrived on the 20th of August a month later, I had to pay duty for it, but that was because of the laws of my country not TB Dress, I am from a little country in Africa called Zimbabwe and they did specify on the site that the cost of the dress did not include duty .

When I recieved the envelope, which is not amusing by the way,but I knew that was going to happen as other people spoke about it.I then ran to my room and opened it by myself because I didn’t want the emabaressment of an ugly dress, then voila, there was a good dress inside, tried it on, it was a good fit, except for very small alterations that I might need to make, which is expected when you don’t fit a dress in person and send measurments and I will also need to get a wedding dress petticoat because I like the princess look, otherwise I am happy, I will take some pictures and post, but yes that is the dress. As for the picture, the model had perfect fittings, photoshop and the body to go with the dress.

Would I reccomend TB Dresses? Yes if you are willing to take a gamble and know that its a hit or miss situation, but for us who did manage to get the hits, its worth it, possibly thousands of dollars in savings, but in the case that it might not be a hit, have a back-up plan.
