So I was told that the couple exchange wedding bands at the end of the tea ceremony. I really don’t want my Fiance to put the same wedding band on me twice so I’m thinking of doing 2 things. Either skip ring exchange part of the tea ceremony and only have the rings exchanged during the Western ceremony or have two wedding bands, one for the tea ceremony and one for the Western ceremony. What do you bees think?
For those who will be having a tea ceremony, what you do gals plan to do?

I’ve only seen the wedding bands exchanged at the end of the tea ceremony when there is no civil ceremony following. I don’t think people expect it if there’s a civil ceremony. That’s also how we’re doing it. No rings during tea ceremony.

@hotwings–glad to know that the ring exchange is not expected at the end of the tea ceremon if there’s another one following it. Yay, I don’t have to spend extra money on another wedding band.

depending on the family sometimes a ring is exchange but it isn’t always common. something that i have known my friends to do in the past when their families require this is to do the engagment ring as the tea ceremony ring. so this something you may want to consider doing if you have to
