So I found my dream dress (link below) I haven’t tried it on yet because I am a size 20 and the dress is only available up to a 16 without being special ordered but I hate floor length dresses and skirts and I saw my dress and was instantly like “this is it” I actually got teary eyed looking at the computer screen and look at this dress multiple times a day. And am working on losing weight to be able to fit into this dress.
Because my date is so far out (a little less then 3 years) I told all my girls who were asking about dresses and prices to go on the Davids Bridal website and look at dresses that are available in Wisteria and came to a pretty nice conclusion on one short dress and one long dress that EVERYONE likes, is willing to pay for etc. The problem is with a tea length dress, I have no idea what dress length is appropriate for my bridesmaids. And while the dresses they picked aren’t for sure the ones they are going to get, as this day is still a few years off I’m just trying to get an idea of what is appropriate as I have never attended a wedding where the bride was not in a floor length dress nor have I seen pictures of a a bride in a tea length dress with her bridesmaids so I don’t know how either length would look.
Does anyone have an opinion on this? Or had a tea length dress for their wedding?

Short for the girls, but I suggest waiting some time to order anything so you don’t change your mind.

Yeah, I’m not planning on ordering anything or even stepping into a shop for another year ad a half at least I’m just trying to get an estimated cost of the dress and such together for my girls because some of them have to litterally start saving now in order to have $100+ readily available to spend on a dress and shoes when the time comes.

I think that short and short go best together and long with long. So stick to the shorter dresses. they’re both beautiful though and your dress is sooo beautiful!!

I think it is your day you should do whatever your heart desires but if you care in the slightest bit what others think I would go with the short bridesmaid dresses.

@Wildflower2016: Since your dress is short, theirs should be too!
