I just saw a post on WB that it took a girl 50 hours to address her invites and teach herself how to do it. I have this weekend only. so 2.5 days and I still need to teach myself. I have an art degree & am pretty crafty, but have never attempted this. Does anyone have any ideas on how to learn quick or other hand writing styles that would be funky and cool?

I guess if it were me and I only had that amount of time, I’d find some fonts I liked, print out the full alphabet in that font, and practice over and over making those letters in my own handwriting until I thought I had it down. That, or you could just make your life easy and find a script/calligraphy font to address the envelopes on your computer and print them off.

found this on weddingbee and think that I could do something like this way quicker! Thanks

calligraphy is just about the angle of your pen and the strokes you use. Buy an extra of whatever pen you want to use and play with holding it at different angles and using long, fluid movements or short, sharp movements

A common way to do this is to print the envelopes with the address very light and then go over it with black pen, very carefully covering the printed outline.
Check out this link from project wedding, they explain it: http://www.projectwedding.com/wedding-ideas/diy-calligraphy
