@lealorali:  We get a month less than you! Break up around 23rd July, back 3-5th Sep.

Yes. I originally wanted to get married in October, but it was so difficult logistically, that we set the date for June 29th so I’ll have plenty of time leading up to the wedding to get things done and be more stress-free, and plenty of time after the wedding to honeymoon

I’m not a teacher yet, but I did! I finish college May 7, 2014 and should hopefully start teaching in August of the same year. Before we were engaged officially, our wedding “date” was “After I graduate, but before I start teaching.”

Sure did! That’s why we got married in July instead of in the “off season”. I probably would have gone for a April or May wedding instead if I could have.

I am a teacher too, and I got married in July.  I didn’t want to go back to work right after my wedding and honeymoon either, and with June we never really know when the last day is due to snow and all.

I didn’t plan my wedding around school. There were lots of factors that went into choosing my date which ended up being several weeks after school started. I wish I had more time off but it all worked out.

Nope, we both didn’t want to get married in the summer.  We are getting married at the end of October and will be going on a mini moon over Xmas, probably to NYC. In the summer, we will go on our honeymoon.

Haha! I’m a super minority here. My fiance and I are both teachers, and our wedding date has NOTHING to do with our school holidays. In fact, we planned our wedding date around my BROTHER’S school holidays. He lives in Hong Kong and it’s VERY important to us to have him there, so we planned the wedding for April 26th, which will be during his Easter holidays there. I’ll likely take the Friday before off, as well as the Monday after, but then I’ll go right back to work. I *will* have just had our spring break, though, do wrap up any last minute planning.

Fiance is a professor, so just about everything wedding related that requires us to be somewhere revolves around his school schedule. We’re *trying* to schedule a tasting and final decoration approval with the venue during his spring break. Our engagement shoot will also be on spring break, or if that’s not possible then it will have to be the last couple weeks of May. Oh geez, as I’m typing this I just realized I’ll need to do the same with the cake tastings with the smaller shops. Interviewing officiants can happen on weekends, but I’m assuming they’ll be busy as well. Argh.

On a positive note, we’ve got all of June and most of July to finish up the wedding stuff. We’re also having our honeymoon immediately afterwards.
