I am a camp counselor at a residental school for underpriviledged children.  I absolutely love it!!  I get to work with the kids, be active, and teach a variety of fun, club-like activities.  This summer, I am running a newspaper editing/writing camp with a counselor I worked with last summer.  I am stoked!! 🙂

You could always do some sort of summer camp type job.  I’m finishing up teacher’s college right now and have a ‘summer student’ position at a concrete company, but those types of jobs usually run 4 months (May-August).  Any sort of seasonal job is probably your best bet!

I work at a summer camp as their Physical Education Director…so I pretty much do the same thing I do all year long just wilth different kids, since im an actual physical education teacher. Although im alot more laid back with the kids in the summer, I dont make them practice the skill before games and don’t make them do streches ect.

I chase after my 3 year old (this year he will be 4) during the summer! I teach Special Ed and we do offer Summer Program for Special Ed kids that qualify. Also, we are a Title 1 school and our Title 1 dept puts on a summer camp for qualifying kids. So, if I didn’t have my son, I would work in either of those programs.

I work part time as a photographer on the weekends, so I figure I’ll do that full time this summer. The greatest part about that is that I can make my own schedule…I can schedule my sessions for the evening when the sun isn’t so high in the sky, and I can head to the beach all day every day! Also, I have a handful of weddings booked for the summer, and a few friends weddings to go to , so I’ll get lots of ideas for my own next summer!  I . Can’t. Wait. July can’t come fast enough!
