hockeybee0104 : Haha, normally I would agree that packing up a classroom isn’t that much work, but in the next month we are also moving houses and get married two weeks after that so it does have a bigger impact this year. 🙂
Thanks for all the feedback everyone! I think I’m going to go with option #2! It’s been hard because my friends at my current school think I’m crazy to move schools so I needed some unbiased opinions. I’m feeling much better about it!

#2 – admin + more support will do wonders for you and tech can be overrated

#2! Behaviors alone will wear you down quicker than anything else. And a great leader is priceless.

#2 FOR SURE! Technology support is great, but when you have many students with behaviour issues, then you need a school with supportive admin and staff there that can support those students and yourself, in order for you not to lose your mine. I’m in a school similar to your #1 and I can’t wait to get out. My previous school also had behaviour issues but our Spec Ed teachers were great and so was admin so that helped deal with student issues.

pinklemonade12 : I’m also packing my classroom, moving, and getting married in the next 3 weeks! It’s very daunting, but I made a packing schedule for my classroom. I started last week and have been taking things home everyday (school ends on June 5). I would still do school #2!

I’d choose #2 in a heartbeat. Behavior trumps resources 1000%.

I would choose #2 too. And if you ever run into problems or have a bad day at your new school, just remember that you could’ve been driving double (or more) the distance just to get the same problems!
