I wear nice dress pants and a sweater. Sometimes I wear a shirt and a cartigan 🙂 People here also wear a heavier material dress with tights.

I would suggest flats as you will be standing and running around all day. Only wear heels if they are REALLY REALLY comfy (I even keep a pair of slippers in my classroom in case my shoes hurt as the day goes on).

Slacks, sweaters and scarves. Pretty simple, really. What did you have in mind?

@BabyBrain:  I suggest buying a few of a bunch of different types of things and then see which outfits are your “go to” ones. I find that I wear pants and sweaters but never wear those cute dresses I bought – so now I buy more pants.

I’m not a dress person at all, except for special occasions, so I get a ton of wear out of dark colored pants, cardigans, and colorful tops and accessories. My shoes are always comfy clog or mary jane styles by Dansko. That’s winter.  In the nice weather months, you’ll see me in Chino style pants (khakis) and nice T-shirt shirts with accessories or 3/4 sleeve blouses and flats or nice conservative sandals.

You’ll get the feel from your school once you start, but as long a you’re covered up and comfortable, you’ll figure out how to make it “professional” and in your style.
