I’m having a mini crisis right now. My original plan for colors was Teal & Burgundy/Red but lately I’ve been having second thoughts about the colors…. I was looking online and came across Teal/Hot Pink and I’m thinking about switching the burgundy/red out for Fuschia/Raspberry/Magenta instead since the latter seem like a combination that is "more fun". What are your opinions on this?
p.s. my wedding is in late September…so not quite a fall wedding yet but getting there!

Ok, you us to pick Red and Teal or Pink and Teal? Or do you want me to weigh Teal and Burgundy and Teal and Pink, because it’s a different answer for that. I’m for teal and red vs. Teal and Pink, but if you mean Teal and Burgundy, I would be for the Teal and Pink. 🙂 Confusing!

To clarify: the original color was teal & a combination of red and burgundy.
I personally am huge fan of red & burgundy colors (in everyday life that is….especially red shoes :O), and that’s the reason why I picked those two as part of the wedding colors. However, after looking through a lot of pictures it just seem like the combination or teal & red & burgundy can be too intense and formal. I want the color combination to be something that is striking yet cheery, and that’s why I was thinking about switching the red & burgundy out to different shades of dark pink instead. I know the ultimate decision will be up to me, but I just wanted to see what other people thoughts (e.g. the mood the color combination gives off) are when they hear about the two different color combos!
Oh…more info: the wedding is by a beach!

I’m for teal and pink! I can’t quite visualize the red/burgandy teal combo- my first thought was Ick! do you have any pictures to show with this combo? Also the teal/pink combo seems like it’s more fitting for a beach scene.

Teal and pink by a beach sounds like you’d be pulling amazing colors out from the water and the sky! I don’t think of burgundy at the beach really…
Go for it!

I actually like your original plan of teal and red/burgundy. It’s so unexpected! I think in September, at a beach, it would be perfect. You can still make things playful. I think there was a post about this color scheme on the Grey Likes Weddings blog.

I think if it’s both red and burgundy, I’m going to have to go with teal and pink. I really can’t picture all three together, but I love red and teal together. Also, if it’s by or on the beach, I really think burgundy is going to be too dark.
