Hi ladies, I need help!!
I had finally decided that I wanted TEALNESS, from Alfred Angelo to be the color for my bridesmaids dresses. I am getting married in June on a golf course with ocean views. Recently, my mom and aunt came to the store with me and saw the tealness color. They say that the bridesmaids are going to “Blend in” with the venue, so they’d rather see the bridesmaids in purple. I love the purple shade too, so now I’m confused as to what to do.
DOes anyone have pics of their wedding with either of these colors? I’m breaking my head again trying to decide! I definitely want the bridesmaids to “POP” not to “blend IN” with the grass and ocean color.
Here is the inspiration picture that made me want to go with tealness.
And here is a shade of the purple that I’m considering.
Any advice/pictures would be greatly appreciated!

@Chica2014: That is a silly reason not to go with teal. Since when is grass teal?! BUT my friend has chosen teal as one of her colors and it is proving slightly difficult to find supplies in the exact color she wants. It would compliment the water not blend in.

thank you ladies! @pixienickie: hahahah, Yes, I thought the same thing. I don’t think they really blend in with ocean nor grass, but they did make me want to go with the purple because I do think the purple pops more.
And you are absolutely right: I am having a hard time finding vests and or ties that match the exact same color. THe menswarehouse from Davids has something called “oasis”, but it is a ligher color than tealness.
Is your friend using “tealness” or is she using some other shade of teal?

@Chica2014: There’s nothing in any of the golf courses around here that would blend in with Tealness.
I suggest you stay away from trying to do exact matches- especially with the vests. It can look rather “promish” to have the vests match the Bridesmaid or Best Man ‘s dresses. Match the vest to the suit.
For the ties, pick a stripe, paisley or other pattern that has some of the teal color in it- not a solid.

Definitely the tealness! I love that color!

I’d go with the teal, it looks great and doesn’t blend at all to me. I think it’s very flattering.

@Chica2014: I really like the tealness color. If you are looking for matching ties, this site has colors matched to the major designers for bmaid dresses…

I really love the teal color, I would stick with that!

Both colours are gorgeous, but I would go with teal if that’s the colour you really wanted!

Why not both? The Purple would make the teal pop against the grass if you’re worried about it.

I was in a wedding right by the water and we wore teal and the dresses popped! Didnt blend so I say do the teal if you like it!!

Thank you very much ladies. I’ve decided to stick with the teal! Purple is beautiful too but I have seen it recently on two different weddings (one I attended, the other one was a friend of a friend from facebook), so I feel like I want something different.

@emstar168: Thank you for the link to the ties! I am considering ordering them from that link if I don’t find anything at local stores.
@julies1949: thank you for the photos and the advice!
