Actually I was thinking it looks more boyish than girlsh myself.

wandering_gypsy:  Well it’s a beautiful nursery for sure. I think the flowery curtains push it over the “girl” edge (just a little too much flowery stuff). I think some solid curtains or the chevron pattern curtains would be better and the other flowery parts would be fine.

wandering_gypsy:  It’s really pretty. Tho it doesn’t seem like a baby’s room to me! I have a 3 month old and he loves to look at the things on the wall. I say bolder and brighter for baby to enjoy!

The flowery curtains and plates on the wall are what makes it look girly to me. I love the colors though.

wandering_gypsy:  I think if you like it, you should go for it.  The baby’s not going to say ‘hey mom this room is too girly for me’  The room/decorations are more for you than for them so do what makes you happy.

wandering_gypsy:  I think it’s fairly gender neutral if not more masculine.  I don’t know, I’m very “blue for boys, pink for girls” at least when they’re little, so I think if you swapped out all the blues in the crib and bedding with a pastel green or orange, it would be TRULY gender neutral which I assume is what you’re going for.

The paint color is lovely b/c it’s something either a girl or boy could grow into.  I remember growing up with pink, pink walls: light pink from ceiling midway, floral border, dark pink to the floor.  OOF!!!

it might be slightly girly, but it also depends what you do with the rest of the room. I love the bedding regardless.

When I saw the first picture it was the flowery plates that made it seem girly to me. If you’re not going to try to make the room identical to the stock photo then you should be fine. I do think I like the chevron curtains better though!

I love it, but I think the full shebang with the curtains & all puts it into the too girly category. I think the floral is okay for a boy so long as it’s not all over the place. It would easily look like a super cute boys room with just a few more boyish accessories. I don’t know that I would classify the print as a full on floral, more like a floral/paisly mix which is pretty hot for guys (we saw a ton of paisley button ups when we were shopping for Darling Husband last year).
