Great idea! My Darling Husband and I are Team Green, but there is still a small part (somedays bigger than small part!) that wants to know. I know we could have trouble staying strong and not finding out in a few months. But I’ve always wanted to be surprised (so has he) so we’re going to do our best to stay strong!! I’m so worried that our doctor will slip and tell us at our next ultrasound!

@Bao:  I know. I wonder if they usually ask if you want to know, or is it best to just say right away that we don’t want to know. And I’m worried about looking at the screen and being able to tell the sex!

@Bao:  Haha Is your family pressuring you to find out? I’m lucky in that nobody has pressured us to find out, but I keep getting, “Wow, I could never not know” and “Why don’t you want to find out?” from people.

I have been able to avoid finding out, and I have had 4 ultrasound since the sex has been identifiable. I just make sure to let the tech know right away that I don’t want to know, and ask them to alert me if they are going to be near the goods so I can look away. I am 34 weeks now, so I am confident that I can avoid knowing until the end!

We are team green mainly at my DH’s request. In all honesty I am already DYING inside lol I really do want that “It’s A ……” moment but it is so hard! We only get 1 US as long as everything is ok at the anatomy scan which will be in 6 weeks. I have already told my doc that we are team green and plan to let the US tech know that so we don’t accidentaly get a peak.

I’m a Team Greener and am so excited about it!   It was never a question for Darling Husband and I – we just don’t want to know until the baby is born.  We can’t wait for that moment when they announce “It’s a _____!”  My family is supportive of this decision, his family not so much; they tried to tell us that there are so many other things to be excited about, that finding out the gender beforehand won’t diminish the excitement of the birth.  I’m not so sure about that….

We’re 28 weeks now and so far, there have been no slip ups, but I am so worried that it’s going to come out at one of our appointments!  Our u/s tech for the 20 week scan never said anything about gender so I’m not even sure she checked it out and marked it down on the chart.  I’ve had two appts with midwives since then and both have been a bit surprised that we didn’t find out, but I didn’t get the impression that they knew from my chart either.

I absolutely love being Team Green.  We spend a lot of time imagining life with a daughter and life with a son; we goof around with the old wives tales to see what they’re leaning towards (I’m pretty much split down the middle according to the old wives!); and we love that we’re not being bombarded with gender specific gifts!

I was a Team Green mom and just wanted to say good luck! It’s so much fun wondering what you will have a boy or girl. The ultrasound person won’t tell either. I had quite a few ultrasounds b/c they thought my baby was breech (she wasn’t, then was, then wasn’t,LOL) and they never told me. As long as baby’s healthy, they don’t worry about it.

Good luck ladies! It’s the best surprise ever!

@MsMamaBear:  Thanks for sharing it helps alot. Did you have a feeling about what gender you were going to have? Was your feeling right? I am convinced I have a little boy inside of me (even though before getting pregnant I really wanted a girl) of course a healthy baby is all that matters but I am so in love with the little boy I believe is inside of me πŸ™‚
