I don’t know for sure, but I’d say your best bet is to package it carefully and put it in a checked bag.  Or ship it ahead of time.

I don’t actally know the answer to this but it  made me picture an insane brooch bouquet wielding bride terroist – which is a prety hysterical image – so thanks for that!

Brooches are not currently on the list of prohibited items for carry ons.


If a TSA agent does stop you and your terrorist pile of vintage jewelry, you will be given the option to check it instead.

I would check it to avoid any problems. You never know what TSA is going to have a problem with.
