My FI’s cousin has said she wants to be the flower girl but she’s 15! She’s super darling and I’m touched that she wants to be in the wedding, but I’m not sure what role she should assume.
Do we make her the flower girl since there are no younger girls (or boys, our ring bearer is 8 and the son of a family friend) in the family to do it? I don’t really care how it looks that she’s older than the traditional age but I don’t want her to feel silly. Could we do a twist on the flower girl and have her do something different like hand flowers to people? Any other ideas?
My mom has started referring to her as a “junior bridesmaid” but I don’t know what the role of a JB is. She is exactly half my age so it’s not going to be appropriate for her to part of most of the bridesmaids activities (and there won’t be a lot until right before the wedding because it’s out of town and we’re all flying in). Is it just kind of an honorary thing so that she could be in the actual wedding, but that’s about it?
