Hi Bees 🙂
So I would like to have my teeth whitened before my wedding which is 9 months away. I know I can’t afford to have the dentist do it, so I am wondering if you can tell me what you have had AWESOME experiences with. My situation is that I have pretty nice teeth, but when I was younger my front tooth chipped and they filled it (no cap). The filled front tooth looks darker than my other teeth. So I am having it capped to match my other teeth but the dentist recommends before they make the cap that I get my teeth to look like I would want them to look so they can match the cap as you can’t whiten the cap after.

Definitely the Crest Whitestrips! I recently quit smoking (aside from the occasional few at the bar) and my teeth were really stained from the cigarettes and my daily coffee habit. My teeth are night and day since using them. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not glowing like the girl on the commercial, but there is definitely a big difference.
I’d suggest the 3D Professional Effects you do them for a half hour once a day every day for 20 days, though I tend to use two strips every few days for an hour (take some Motrin first if you do this, they may ache a little). They also have the Intensive Professional Effects, which I haven’t tried yet, but they’re 2 hours a day for 7 days.
I tried the Rembrant trays one time and while they worked alright they HURT. I don’t have sensitive teeth and I was nearly in tears by the end of the 2 hours. The Crest Whitestrips seem to work just as well with a LOT less pain.
If you end up going with the Professional Effects Whitestrips look for the gift sets. They cost the same as the strips but come with the whitening rinse, the whitening toothpaste and a toothbrush for free. I stocked up around the holidays.

Crest Whitening strips professional grade. It’s awesome. I’ve had my teeth whitenned both professionally and with these strips, and I have to say it’s the same. The crest strips just take a lot longer (10 days versus 2 hours).
I get tons of compliments on my teeth, even from my dentist. hahaha. Who when he finds out I use strips gets upset and tells me they’re no good, but hey you were JUST complimenting how white my teeth are! =)
I would recomment using sensodyne tooth paste 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks after using strips otherwise it gets VERY sensitive.

My dentist (who does a lot of work for beauty pagaent gals) had me use Nite White ACP. It was really inexpensive and I used it overnight about 3 nights a week. You do need to have trays but I used it with my invisalign. It worked great, but as a warning my teeth were extremely sensitive the day after.

Ack… this is my problem… I have very sensitive teeth. The last time I tried to whiten them with a gel at home… almost immediately I was in agony. I washed the stuff off, and was then in pain for two days… could hardly bear to eat or drink anything! So that’s my problem. What’s laser whitening like? Anyone know if it’s any good?

I used Crest Whitestrips before my wedding and they made a huge difference! I just used one packand started 2 weeks before my wedding. I also avoided coffee and soda during that time, to help my teeth stay white.
