I’m not a cheesecake fan, something about the texture has always made me feel queasy, so I’m glad you’re planning on having other options.

Something a bit less heavy and non-dairy would be nice.

Macaron towers are always pretty and seem to be enjoyed.

Maybe some sort of fruit tart?

I’ve also always loved croquembouche.

xiexie :  agree. Something without dairy/cheese would be great to add.

If you want to do something lighter than cheesecake, how would you feel about a not-so-cakey cake like angel food or a spice-based cake? I was also going to suggest ice cream, but in the interest of having a non-dairy option you could do sorbet.

I think cupcakes would be nice. I love cheesecake, but I’m also ready for a nap after I eat a slice lol. So that may be something to consider if you want your guests to keep dancing after dessert.

I’d suggest including something that is dairy-free. Even people who are not lactose intolerant can still often only handle so much dairy. Brownies, an assortment of cookies, donuts or squares, or perhaps tarts or pies?

These are my favorite kinds of posts 😉

I absolutely love the cheesecake idea. I freaking love cheesecake and would get so excited. I think it would be cool to have a dessert bar to go along with that like some PP have stated. You could have cookies, pastries, brownies, etc.

I got married in December right around Christmas so we had a regular cake but I also got a TON of Christmas cookies from my favorite local bakery. We had the traditional super festive decorated sugar cookies, pb cookies, oatmeal raisin, gingerbread and chocolate chip. We had a lot of little kids and they LOVED the cookies. I was actually surprised though the number of adults who had multiple cookies lol. It went over really well so I definitely support the cookie idea!

CHEESECAKE is the best idea, LOVE it.

Cookies, Cupcakes, Pie would work, definately something ‘fruity’ in comparison to creamy & chocolate.

No matter what you do, you won’t please everyone. I would just do what you want and then people can take it or leave it.
