- Wedding: May 2014 - Paradise Gardens
I know this is a bit off topic from the usual conversations, but I figured it would be fun to share the trips fellow TTCers are planning or have taken. For me the idea of TTC or in our case NTNP leaves me with lots of questions about what the future will look like for me and DH in the months ahead. So in the meantime we plan little trips or vacations that would be nice to experience without a new born.
I’ll start, here’s our itinerary for the year (for right now):
Note: We live in SoCal, so for us NorCal is a trip since we usually take the plane
• May 21st – May 28th: Niagara Falls/Toronto (our 2 year anniversary trip)
• June 10th – 13th: Santa Barbara with DH and the in laws (BIL graduation trip)
• August 20 th- 22nd: Northern California (Reunion trip)
• October 25 th – November 4th: Thailand (We just booked this one)
• December 24th- Jan. 1st: Holiday trip to Nor Cal
I’d love to see your itineraries this year, so please share!

So far as we have been TTC for over a year we have:
- Punta Cana Dominican Republic
- Mountain trip to Colorado
- Vegas (3x)
- Cayman Islands for a wedding
- Various college football games
- Couple of weekend road trips
We also bought a trip to Italy during an auction for charity but we have not set a date for that yet because of the TTC stuff.
We wanted to go to Mexico with friends this summer but can’t because of Zica Virus.
Its funny because for each of these trips we already took I was just positive I would be pregnant by that time but here I am… :/ I really want to go to Napa to see the Wine Country but that is a trip that I for sure would not enjoy if I was pregnant so I keep putting it off.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this! I don’t want to plan my life around such an unknown thing (and maybe I’m a little superstitious and don’t want to jinx anything, lol), but I want to plan trips and it’s hard to know what will still be fun and doable when pregnant or as new parents!
We have one trip planned to Disneyland in October, which will definitely be different if I’m pregnant. We also have been talking about going to Sonoma for a wine weekend, but of course that coudn’t happen if I was pregnant! We also want to go to New York to see Hamilton, but tickets are so far sold out that we could potentially have a newborn by the time they’d be available, ha! So complicated! Like I said, I don’t want to plan or not plan anything based on something that I have little control over (beyond the obvious of course), but it’s tough!

We’ve been ttc for 14 months now. We went to LA/San Fransisco when we started. Fort Myers, FL over christmas, going to NYC, Las Vegas and the beach this summer! I also thought would be pregnant for each of these trips. That mindset is slowly leaving me. SLOWLY.

Omg Sonoma is heaven. I highly recommend you go before you can’t drink!
Thailand will be amazing too. we just went in October. if you can, I highly recommend going to Ko Phi Phi!
We will be going to Barcelona and London in September.
We had to cancel a trip to Puerto Rico because of Zika.

No trip for us (we built a fancy deck this year). Last year we had to cancel a trip due to my FIL’s health. If we were to travel I would want to go to the Bahamas, but because of Zika I’m too scared.
Just wanted to let you know I practically grew up in the Falls (20 minutes away) so if you have questions let me know. Niagara Falls and Toronto are beautiful cities, have fun!!!

we just got back from 10 days in Amsterdam and Paris. We’re 1.5 years in to TTC and had put off any big vacations by plane in case I finally got pregnant (I know it’s safe to fly but the idea of morning sickness on a plane is something I’d just rather avoid). We finally got to the “screw it – let’s just go” point and so we did! haha

we conceived on our trip to Italy & Ireland, then we went to New Orleans which was a-mazing! then we did just a bunch of weekend trips to PA

we actually didn’t get macaroons this time around! but we got a mont blanc for the first time and while it didn’t look appetizing it was delicious!

haha will you be having a Baby Dublin?

I got pregnant 2x and both right before a trip to Vegas (like I was 4w and 5w when I ended up going). Vegas must be lucky for me and next time I plan a trip there I will make sure I am on really good birth control (since I think I am 90% sure I am done having kids).
