Those times when you get a workout without intending to. Maybe carrying lots of shopping, getting lost on your bike, that kind of thing.
Today FH and I planned to take a short little stroll to a park not too far away (2 miles at most) and walk around near a lake.
There’s also a mountain path there that we’ve seen a couple times but never knew where it went – sorta figured it didn’t go too far. Well, the weather was nice and we were in a good mood so we decided to check it out. Turns out it went basically aaaalllll the way up the mountain. We’ve been joking we went out for a little walk and a whole hike crept up on us. It was pretty and the view was awesome so we just kept going “let’s go a little further!” (I was in heeled boots, no less! I was just having fun and I didn’t even care.)
We’re not outdoorsy, we’d never plan something like this, but we climbed a mountain by accident haha. We’re both sooo tuckered out now.
Have you ever happned to get your exercise by accident?

Can’t get the bottom drawer of my file cabinet open, been at it for over half an hour, have been looking for something for a couple of days and that’s the only place I haven’t checked. Been trying to pry it open but no luck, can’t get the drawer above it completely out, the only thing I haven’t tried is hammering it open, which I definitely want to avoid!

Scrubbing my shower and bathroom floors! Cleaning can be a workout sometimes! I was sweating after a half hour of straight scrubbing yesterday!

Like OP, I was just going on a little stroll to a deli to get some food because SO and I were in Boston, and he was interviewing for Dental School that day. Well… I ended up in North End and in a deli with a little Italian woman who I couldn’t understand, so when I asked for help getting back to my hotel I ended up going way too far south, and I was too scared to jump on the subway line that was unfamiliar to me.
I was out for about 2 hours and my SO just laughed at me as I made my way back to the hotel. I got lost…. It was amazing, because I actually experienced part of Boston that I would never have seen otherwise. But my shins hurt really badly… And it made it difficult for our walking about the next day.

hehehe my SO and I went on a date to the resevoir in town because he was dabbling in photography and wanted to take some pictures.
we saw a really pretty area with a fountain and trees and decided we should go down there to check it out and take some pictures.
so we walked down a gazillion stairs (only a slight exaggeration). There were SO MANY STAIRS to go down. Not a big deal when you’re going down them. We kind of ran down…took some pictures and walked around a bit, then looked at the stairs that led back to the road/bridge over the resevoire.
We forgot that going down meant having to go back up. :[ It was a very long walk back up the stairs and definitely was not as easy as the way down. haha.

I needed to get a 10 lb kettle bell to do my physiotherapy with. Parked about 1/2 way between 2 mall entrances, walked to the one closest to the store I thought I’d be able to find one for cheap. They didn’t have any. Walked all the way to the other entrance, inside the mall, to go to the other store that I thought might have them. Yep, they had them. So I bought one. And rather than going out the entrance by that store I walked all the way to the other entrance then out to my car with it. Didn’t realise until I got home that I probably could have just gone out the other entrance and it would have been faster. It’s also cold where I live so I walked all the way through the mall wearing my parka with the friggin weight. I got pretty sweaty!

I had surgery for a pilonidal cyst, which is located right above my tailbone. Bending at the hip and squatting were kind of out of the question, especially when the wound was still big so I had to to lunges every time I had to bend down!

It’s street sweeping day. The street immediately outside SO’s apartment has no parking until after 10am…. and so does the entire surrounding neighborhood. So last night and again in a few minutes, I’ll have a nice long walk to get to my parking space a few miles away! A few weeks ago I did this and was bringing a HUGE duffle bag with me. SO was at work late so I lugged a good 45 pounds with me on my little hike.
