I’ve used it for neck pain, TTC, and labor induction, all with success! With my first pregnancy we got pregnant quickly, but my daughter went a week past her due date and I saw my acupuncturist to help nudge her along and I went into labor an hour after my appointment! With TTC baby 2 my cycles were really long and it was taking a lot longer, so I saw my acupuncturist again and went once a week for about 5 weeks and that was the cycle I got my bfp!

I’m a scientist too…and I swear by acupuncture (yes, I will concur that the published studies are lacking and those that exist fail to have proper controls). It was one of the only things that helped to solve my migraine problems (I use botox now).

Now, it may hurt. Mine certainly did the first few sessions in certain areas, but it did go away.

Also, I’ve used acupuncture for my Doxie. Dachshunds are prone to disc issues and often end up paralyzed. Acupunture was instrumental in saving him from paralysis.

I go to acupuncture regularly for headaches; they are largely at bay so I’m mostly in maintenance mode. I let my aaacupuncturist know we were going to TTC so he placed needles for fertility and I got BFP first cycle (I’m 38). Idk that I wouldn’t have gotten pregnant without it since I hadn’t tried but I love acupuncture and will continue it throughout my pregnancy.

Good luck!

The first round for me ended in me almost getting left in an office over night because I fell asleep they left but thankfully forgot something and heard my phone going off. That being said it did help tremendously I was going to get a neurological conditioner . I took a few months off and went back for more this time with a different more attentive practioner

I don’t have PCOS – but I have suffered from LONG irregular cycles. I started in January and by March we were pregnant. My cycles had gone from 30-50days to 28. I am currently 16w1d. I think it helps a lot and my husband is in the medical field and really credits my experience there with us getting pregnant.

Did you give acupuncture a go? I have had it done for about half a year and it was super helpful with pain management (I broke my femur and then a toe). I had a lot of lower back pain, and leg pain ๐Ÿ˜› I also found it helpful for trouble sleeping, and a few months in, discovered that it can help treat period pain. I was amazed at the changes I saw with my flow, and a year later, I am still (mostly) cramp free. Highly recommend for pain management, sorry not familiar with TTC but I know this is an area acupuncturists can specalise in.
