@MangoSong:  I’m getting married in less than a month in Cuba. All of our guests will be paying for there own flight and accomodations while there ($1200 per person) We have about 65 guests coming. We will be paying for them the attend our reception which is about $50 per person and also we must pay for the photographers, sparkling champagne, and musicla trio we are getting for an hour. We paid for all of our bridal parties attire since they have paid so much to come to our wedding. I also will be bringing all my flowers (fake real touch ones) and decorations for the ceremony/reception. We also organized some free events while there such as a welcome dinner in the buffet and also an farewell party. I’m so excited to have a destination wedding and I knew I always wanted one so I’m glad my fiance and our familes were on board 🙂

@MangoSong:  Yes it is at an all inclusive resort. The wedding package is for the ceremony and we get that free because we have over a certain amount of adult guests we are only having a symbolic wedding there anyways since we are getting married in our hometown first in a religious ceremony. We still have to pay per person for the private ceremony and reception though at the resort but I think $50 per person is manageable. I think most people think that you get everything free at a destination wedding but that is not true.  I’m so excited!!!! I cant wait to go!!! I’m jsut nervous about all the stuff I have to bring with me lol

I just got married in the dominican republic. IT WAS AMAZING! We had about 25 people. It was all inclusive resort and were treated like royalty for having our wedding there. The ceremony (we splurged for the most expensive at $ 900) a privae room for 1000. Flowers for 4 girls and 7 boutineers was $200. Massages for my bms and me was another $200. All our guests payed 1400 for rooms.

Im not really sure what info you are looking for. If you have any questions or want to see pics send me a pm.

Well I’m not getting married in the Carribean, but I wanted to respond anyway. Im getting married in Anna Maria Island, FL. If you think you want a Destination Wedding I would first think about 1. your guests finances 2. how your closest friends and family feel about it (I would have some numbers for them) 3. How upset you would be if not many people came. I wanted to do a Destination Wedding in another country/more exotic location, but i knew that my family was very important to me. I talked to all of the closest people in my life and they were ok with it, because I decided to do it in the USA so they didn’t need passports/flights if they didn’t want (its a 19 hour drive, though). We are getting married on the beach on the gulf coast and are having our reception on the beach at a restaurant. I’m probably having about 60-70 guests. I just depends on your situation. You don’t have to pay for your guests, but we are organizing some activities during the week (since most of our guests will be coming for a whole week). Good Luck!

Also consider if your flying you have to find a way to get any decor/dress/favors, etc there. Since we are driving we can put it in the car, I know some all inclusive resorts can take care of almost everything for you though.

We are having a destination wedding in St.Thomas in July, and here is what we are paying for:

    Bridal Party:

Earrings, Dresses, and Linen Suits for the guys

Sunset Cruise with dinner/open bar on Friday

    Gifts for Wedding Party

I am helping one bridesmaid out with her airfare because she makes very little money and is coming from California.
