@NAvery: I LOVE those! Your wedding date is the day of my AHR (getting married in a mountain town with immediate family). I think for my actual wedding I’m going to do pocketfold invitations like you made, since there will be a lot of information I need to give my guests. Is InDesign a program?
Edit: does InDesign come with photoshop? I have CS3

I designed and drew our invites (free), had them printed for $220 including the $30 for scanning with a turn around of less than 24 hours! I also purchased kraft paper brown recycled pocketfolds and white receycled envelopes from paperandmore.com ($70 for 100 of each including shipping), invitation matting and little leaf tags from cardsandpockets.com ($24 for 80- I had a coupon), green raffia from paper source for $12.00, I had the burlap from another project, and ink and calligraphy pen for $9 so $335 for 80 complete invites. These were soooo well received and very worth it. Post wedding I will be starting my etsy invite shop if any bees are interested.

We ordered ours from Sir Speedy’s in Portsmouth, New Husband. They’re a local copy shop. I had an idea of what I wanted, and just sent the girl there some pictures, and she put them together. She used the fonts I wanted and everything. The Save the Dates were $75 for 75 (we had coasters made); the invitations are cheaper than that. They are amazing and I cannot recommend them enough!!

We made ours. Bought the pocket online, (don’t remember which website). Designed them in powerpoint, (weird I know), and had them printed through catprint.

- Wedding: January 2013 - Pecan Springs Events in Brookshire
Originally, I was going to make them and found out that all supplies for 85 invites on metallic paper with metallic envelopes and metallic backing would be $450. I checked some printing companies and found some I liked for around $400. I found some on etsy for 85 invitations for $275 and although I had to sacrifice the metallic envelope and invitations, we are getting maps, custom initials and a discount. We are probably going to order programs and table numbers from them also. I will try to post photos of our proof once we get them.
