@spoiledvamp27:  Oh the swelling. Yes, especially as the weather has gotten warmer. I had to take my wedding band off a week or two ago because it took me over an hour to remove. I haven’t even tried wearing anything other than flip flops in months. We’re under this heat wave right now, and yesterday and the day before my hands and feet ranged from looking like sausages to looking like water-filled latex gloves.

And I’m always hot. I radiate heat like a furnace. And I’m thirsty pretty much all of the time. I’m up over 100 ounces of ice water a day…which leads to needing to pee about 100 times a day.

@spoiledvamp27:  Yeah, it’s bad in PA, and with the NOLA humidity (I lived there for half my life) I imagine I’d be absolutely miserable, especially if I was big pregnant during the summer.

Have fun in your role.  I didn’t experience any true morning sickness during the 1st trimester, but I found that I ate a lot every two hours.  Hard candies really helped keep the nausea at bay. And I always kept crackers or a piece of fruit on hand.  In the second tri-mester I began showing.  My hands and feet swelled then too.  I began having to go to the bathroom every few hours and sometimes after I’ve been I have to go back within minutes.  You also experience sharp pains in your abdomen which results in rubbing that area.  I also stand different.  I rest my arms on top of my belly or I’ll wrap my arms around my belly and clasp my hands below it.  I wear lots of sandals and flip-flops because my feet are swelling.

Well my due date was 2 days ago and I am over it, I cant sleep, I feel so uncomfortable, a week ago I did RPM and had a session with my personal trainer, right now it is uncomfortable to sit up and I feel like the baby is going to fall out when I stand up. I’ll let you know how it goes when this baby decides to vacate.

For scenes when you are later in your pregnancy I would definitely talk like you are out of breath.  That this one of the biggest things I noticed is that I get out of breath doing everything – and I worked out up until a month ago (I’m at 36 weeks now).  I have horrid swelling and definitely have a very slow waddle.  Good luck!

I don’t have any other tips.  But just wanted to say break a leg!  What theater are you in?  I have a few friends that do Broadway and off Broadway shows.
