We went to Sandals Barbados and it was the best resort we have ever been too. The food was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had, the staff was soooo accommodating and fun, the facilities and rooms were absolutely gorgeous, the only downside was the beach. It’s where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea so it was super wavy, but we stayed in the pools mostly! They pick you up from the airport and give you bottled water and a little care package and then drive you to the resort. On the last day hubby went into the ocean with some other guys and the current was so strong it ripped off his wedding band, we got another one and luckily it was a stand in we were using, but needless to say I was not allowed in the ocean with my ring set on haha. We actually met two couples our age with the same wedding day celebrating their honeymoons and hung out with them everyday, and we are probably life long friends now, have already been to visit them in their hometowns and talk pretty much everyday lol. Sandals is top notch and the people who go there are so nice, no 18 yro teens getting wasted.

We spent around 6k CAD I believe, the exchange rate was muccch better when we booked! Lol

If you haven’t picked a resort yet, look into Couples Resorts. They have four in Jamaica. We went to Tower Isle and it was fantastic. I did a ton of comparison “shopping” between Sandals and Couples, and Couples won out on pretty much every category. The best part was not being allowed to tip. No all Inclusives “require” tips, but Couples doesn’t allow it at all because of the higher wages they pay their employees. They also don’t treat you differently based on the level of your room category. I’ve heard good things about Sandals too, but Couples is worth checking out if you haven’t settle on anything yet.

We went to Sandals St. Lucia. They have 3 Sandals resorts on the island and have convenient shuttles so you can stay at one and play at all three which we loved! Almost all of the food was great. We ate a TON. I think we paid around $450/night. The only person we tipped was our maid. Tipping wasn’t really a thing. The resort was beautiful. We would absolutely recommend it! I will say that places like that turn you into societal “classes” to a degree with the standard guest vs gold guests and whatnot. That’s kind of annoying and a couple times we felt like second class citizens but we mostly made fun of it. That would never keep me from going back to Sandals just an annoying detail that’s popping up everywhere.

We didn’t go for our honeymoon but we did go less than a year before our wedding to Sandals Negril. We travel all the time. This was hands down the best tropical trip we’ve had–we’ve been to Aruba, Belize, Cozumel, Nassau, St. Thomas, etc. We would return to Sandals regularly if schedules allowed!!

We had our “weddingmoon” at Sandals Negril and loved it!  It was easily our favorite trip and would go back every year if it was a bit more affordable.
