@lilbluebird:  Fancy custom garter (especially since I only wanted it for photos not for tossing)

This!

@cmsgirl:  I disagree, Airbrushing was the best money I spent!

Even though a lot of you are saying programs, mine are doubling as fans, and depending on how hot it is, I think it’s a good investment just to cool off!  I went to a wedding once during a heat wave, and never put my fan down!

centerpieces- I did this, and while I did get some compliments on them, I SO could have some something cheaper, less work (I sprayed every hydrangea)

mock up

late night food delivery from a local place: guests weren’t drunk enough or ready for late night snacks. $200 pretty much wasted. Sigh.

@wabanzi:  I did almost exactly what you did for the flipflops and it was perfect

@violetskies:  i thought it was a great idea too!

i’m doing the photobooth frames as my seating card, then everyone can take out their table assignment and put in their photobooth photo.

that is the only “favor” i am having.

@oangeo:  I haven’t put it all together yet, but this is how we’re doing it:

– Put 10 or 12 disposable cameras around the venue (we’re having a cocktail reception so they will just be at random points but you can put them on tables)

– Put a list up next to the wishing well with a ‘Photo Challenge’ for guests. Each guest/couple has to get a photo of the following things during the night: a photo with the bride and groom; a photo with someone they’ve never met; a photo of themselves pulling a silly face and a photo with a footy scarf on (FI and I are huge Aussie Rules football fans and we’ll bring scarves).

– The DJ/MC also explains the game to guests and reminds them not to take ‘inappropriate’ photos.

– At the end of the night, you collect the disposable cameras and get the film developed. Hopefully, you should then have a photo of yourselves with most, if not all of your wedding guests, as well as heaps of pictures for a wedding scrapbook.
