Well bees, it’s been a very challenging day in my industry.
My heart goes out to all of you and any of your loved ones who are experiencing career unknowns or fears for the immunocompromised. I feel you and understand you.
Please tell me something good that has happened to you lately. I would love some lighthearted stories. Even if it was finding the last pack of Oreos at the grocery store. I’d love to have a whole thread of good things.

Well I get to work from home now. I don’t have to dress up, and these two cuties will be my coworkers.

I get to work from home in my own little bubble without my hysterical co workers updating me on coronavirus every 10 mins. I exited their facebook chat today as I was sick of the scaremongering.
I went for a walk at lunch and after work today & got 14000 steps in.
Also went to the mall to grab a few blocks of chocolate, plus more vitamin c. The mall wasn’t that busy & I feel for businesses. We only have 20 cases here and nobody in hospital.
I also walked home with a delicious gelato.

A lot of bad news recently but this week my baby (in my third trimester) was cleared of a pretty nasty complication after more testing. It has been such a relief it almost feels too good to be true. Thinking of you and hoping you get some good news soon x

I’m thankful that I overcome the bad swine flu I recently had, as well as gallbladder infection seems to have reduced, so I don’t have to go to the emergency room everyday.
I also moved 2 weeks ago, so we can finally be with my husband again. Especially with recent cases, it’d be impossible to do LDR.

I have a nice story about neighbors helping each other. The man who lives across the street from us is very sweet, elderly retired Marine-turned-magician. He walked over to talk to us when we were in our front yard yesterday because his phone wasn’t working. We offered to lend him on of our cellphones, but he wasn’t sure about using those.
My husband and another neighbor teamed up to call the phone company and examine the phone. Our neighbor spent 45 mins on hold just to help him, and my husband switched around cords and phones until he got one to work – and then picked up a new phone cord the next day to ensure it would keep working.
While I’m very pro social-distancing, it was very nice to see neighbors come together like that and he was so grateful. (He wanted to take us out for dinner, which we nicely declined, of course, considering the circumstances.) I feel much better knowing his phone is working, too, as I worry about him living alone.

The very last day I was at university before everything got shut down, I passed my PhD proposal meeting and it went super well!
Darling Husband and I are in self-isolation after he was exposed to a case, but bright side is that neither of us have any symptoms one week in 🙂
