I was diagnosed with cervical cancer January 2nd 2019. I had minor surgery and follow up treatment and this past week I had what was probably my 10th biopsy. I have had anesthesia-free painful biopsies every 3 months and this week I got news that this last one came back negative as well! I’m officially 1 year cancer free and won’t need another biopsy for a year!!!!

I went for a walk today to appreciate nature and im also happy that I finished a university assignment today with all of this week’s stress.

Also the government shut our border today to non residents and citizens. We don’t have many cases so hopefully we keep it that way.

My cousin FaceTimed me yesterday and asked my to be her adorable babe’s godmother! I am so honored and excited that she wants me to be such a special part of his life!

I’ve also been adjusting to working from home this week, but I’ve loved video-chatting with my coworkers! Today all the ladies in my department are going to hop on a video call at lunchtime to catch up!

We have all been stressed and anxious at work, just waiting for them to give us the go ahead to work from home. NY is currently the hardest hit and the closures and restrictions increase by the day. And we were just sitting there… completely able to connect and do our jobs from home, receiving company wide emails encouraging us to work from home, literally just waiting for a go ahead. It was supposed to come Monday, then we were promised an answer yesterday. Fifteen minutes before I was set to leave for the day, we FINALLY got the go ahead to start WFM on Monday.

NYS schools are closed for weeks, when I didn’t have anyone to take my four year old the other day, I actually had to use a PTO day instead of working from home because they still hadn’t made a decision.

The resentment and anxiety grew each day that passed without a go ahead, and it’s finally over! I can be home while the schools are closed and work from home and not have to worry about using pto if I need to stay with her, I will be on maternity leave starting in June so the thought of using PTO with schools closed for weeks was giving me anxiety.

I’m happy to have an answer and a plan finally!

I was top one of top 3 for a job slot! Still waiting to find out when there will be interviews (I doubt I can go out though. It’s an essential job, but my young child is home from school).

Got to go out for a walk this morning. The walk was refreshing and it’s a relief to know we can still go out for fresh air.

bookends :  okay so! I….have a frother. For coffee. So I make yummy cups of coffee and it just makes my days happier and more productive! 😀

also, I’ve been cooking a lot more.

try sweet potato fries soemtime! So yummy!

hmm, and my dogs have been crying all day bc they were playing in the mud and started to get tired and cold. So I had to bathe them, and now they’re running around the house, tongue way out. Ears flopping! Happy pups! 🙂

My husband was told yesterday that they were reducing his hours and he would have to work alternating days off (he didn’t get clarification on what that means) so I was thinking they would ultimately close and we would lose some income if he wasn’t paid.

NYS deemed his company essential so we won’t have a loss of income now that our state is in lockdown. The drawback of course is still going into work as he can’t work from home. But the clarification that his work received is a relief

I am SO happy that my Dh’s boss told him he definitely could NOT travel, even though a salesman from his copany told him he should.

And I am delighted that my DS1 is home from college and will be resuming his classes online for now. I know he misses his friends, but I am so damn happy to have him home!
