I wear my ring always, except if I go swimming because I’m scared it will come off. Unless you have a pearl or something a little soap won’t hurt it and you can always get it cleaned.

THe best way to lose your ring is to take it off to wash your hands. Almost any ring can stand a little soap and can be cleaned later if there is residue. DON’T take it off in public!

mandakay0021 :  GermX is mostly alcohol, glycerin, and water.  None of the ingredients will harm your ring if it is gold, platinum, diamond or other hard gem.  You may get some residue in it but it is safe.  Safer than risking loosing.

LOL im also in the same boat. Newly engaged for 1 month now. Everyone says the “novelty” of being extra careful about keeping it clean 24/7 will wear off. I take mine off for showering and cleaning. Sometimes if i notice my hands are a little swollen before i go to bed then i take it off. Otherwise i wear it all the time. I clean it once a week, as i am paranoid the diamond band will get gunky.

I don’t take mine off as I would lose it for sure. I take it off at home sometimes to wash dishes etc and often accidentally leave it and have to look for it later.

I am a nurse and sometimes have to take patients jewellery off, and so often the patients leave it behind because we both forget. Other times the patient throws it in their bag, but later complains that it is lost. Now if the patient removes jewellery I stick it to their arm with tape so it can’t be forgotten.
