This is my dog Chance.  He is an interesting character.  He is scared to death of riding in cars and walking on the leash.  He is a good 25lbs, but thinks he needs to be held or climb right on top on you when you lay down or sit.  I love my Chance!

My dog naps with me all the time. When I get home from work I usually nap for about 30 minutes, and he gets out of his crate and RACES up the steps to the bed. He looks forward to it as much as I do! We cuddle up to each other and rest. If I don’t have time for the nap, he will stand on the bed and bark until I lay down!

I love reading pet stories from other Bees!

@soyjoy222: my dog matilda does a version of this. I like to let myself destress a bit when i first get home and i have my spot on the couch where i like to sit and watch crap television for a half hour or an hour or so when i first get home. when i walk in the door she first runs up and stretches using my legs and then immediately goes and waits on the couch on her pillow. if i dont come right away to sit there she will find me and bark until i follow her to the couch for just a few minutes. she knows when she’s sitting by me ill give her paws a massage so i think thats her motivation lol

@MissBoPeep: I think he is a little person! And I Know what you mean with pets mooching heat…my little guy is guilty of that, too!

@stardustintheeyes: They get stuck in a routine and that’s it!! I love the name Matilda…did you name her after the book?

We have two Rat Terriers and they are both complete characters.  I just wish I could get a video of them playing tag with eachother.  The baby makes a running slide under the chair like a baseball player while the older one waits on the top of the chair ready to pounce on the baby when she sticks her nose out.   The entertain us for hours just watching them play.

@soyjoy222: I adopted matilda off of craigslist actually from a family who had too many dogs. I took a chance on her and its the best decision i made as far as pets go. She is one of the best dogs I have had…ever. She came with her name and was already used to it so i cant take credit for the adorable name. Since being in our house though she has taken on a whole bunch of nick names that we got from matilda. Tilly, Tilda, til til, silly tilly, matildy, and she answers to every version of her name lol.

@couawilou:  My pups love coffee too!  I have caught them both sneeking coffee out of my cup when I leave the room (yuck), now I have to take the cup or the pups with me.

My ridgeback chases shadows – obsessively!  He will stare at the ground and wait for you to start moving so that he can chase them, pounce on them or bark at them (he will not chase his own though).  He also does this with laser pointers and flashlights.  Sometimes, if it’s windy out, I’ll just let the wind blow my hair and he’ll chase that shadow.  Cheap entertainment 😉

My cat pees in the toilet. She decided to do this totally on her own, and she still uses her litterbox for #2. Nooo idea how/why/where she picked it up, but it cracks me up every time!

My pup is special… He’s deaf and has a funky eye so he’s particulary freaky about certain things but one thing that never ceases to crack me up is how afraid of the dark he is, he has a hard time seeing at night and will jump at little things like a leaf blowing, but one time a frog was in the backyard and he freaked out like it was going to kill him and ran and hid behind me… He’s a 60lb dog, running a away from a frog… it was hilarious.

Here’s my boy:
