My cat pancake is absolutely obsessed with licking plastic bags or anything else that is plastic like DVD cases or pop bottles. Its so strange and very irritating but he loves it!

@HawaiiBamaBride: I have a Boston, too!! Her name is Ruby, (hence RubyRoad) πŸ™‚

Her funny quirk: When you fuss her, she starts pawing in the air like she’s saying “Talk to the hand!” She also steals EVERYTHING and puts it in her crate. Just recently found a missing oven glove in there…

Ruby is in the foreground, and her sister Nola is in the background. Nola is my mom’s dog.

This is Serenity. She’s our little puppy. She puts her paw in her water bowl when she drinks from it, barks at a running bath, puts her toys back into her toy basket when she gets another one out, and whines when she plays with her squeaky toys. Fiance and I love her!

@stardustintheeyes: I have a Matilda also – although mine is a cat. Its funny because I call her all the same nicknames (Tilly, Tilda, etc) and my neighbors nicknamed her Maddy. BUT she doesn’t answer to any of them. Even though she is named after the super smart book character, she herself is rather dumb, but so very sweet and loving. Sadly the only name she kind of answers to is fatty (she’s a rather chubby cat).

@BrightGreen: I’m so jealous your cat does this. I tried to train my one cat to and failed miserably.

@Lemma: One of my cats LOVES marshmallows. They are one of her favorite foods.

My animals all have their quirks, no doubt about it. They make me laugh every day. Ivy, my dog, is obsessed with other animals, especially rabbits. She knows where the rabbit cages are at Petco and pulls us there as soon as we walk in the door. She also sleeps in some of the weirdest positions. Here’s a few examples:

My Matilda is a rather special cat. She will only eat dried cat food and won’t take treats, chicken or anything else, but she will eat non-food items. She’s eaten tinsel (piece by piece stolen off the tree with her paw and shoved into her mouth) and she will lick people’s heads forever if they are wearing hair gel. She will also settle in and watch TV. She loves the Geico gecko and Conan:

My other cat rules the house and will fight with you, seriously meow louder and louder until she gets what she wants. But she’s far to sophisticated to be silly πŸ™‚

This is dog, Hamlet. He is such a character, he cracks me up. I’ve been sick lately and he rarely leaves my side when I don’t feel well (I think he can tell when my partner is feeling blue and spends more time with him). He needs human touch more than any other dog I’ve ever met! One of my favorite things he does is peek out the window over the garage when I’m leaving or coming home – I love coming home at night from teaching and his little head popping up.

This is my pooch, Molly. She’s ridiculous.

Pit bulls are supposed to be energetic. Um, not this one, at least not for years. She’s addicted to heat. In the summer, she will sunbathe on the sidewalk–literally–she even switches sides.

In the winter, she parks herself in front of the heating vent. One day we were moving furniture and there was a dresser in front of “her” vent. She decided the best course of action was to growl at it intermittently.

What a cute thread πŸ™‚

This is Miko. He loves eating my hair and getting belly rubs. If he wants a belly rub he rolls all over my bed and usually ends up rolling right off πŸ˜‰ He also thinks my computer is the best bed in the house and he loves Star Wars.

Gator thinks he’s a dog. He has to walk in circles before sitting down, he will sit and beg for food, and I’ve caught him chasing his tail. He also loves jumping on peoples’ backs- if you pick him up his crawls right over your shoulder and just stands on your back. And he does not like to get down.

@couawilou: Yikes! Careful–coffee is toxic to dogs, their systems can’t handle the caffeine.

My hamster, Captain Morgan, sometimes likes to get the crowd really pumped up:

Bahahaha!  Just kidding, she likes to chew on things, like my camera case as pictured here.  I made this today, though, and it cracks me up!  I’m a lame-o.  πŸ˜›

@Roe: my pitbull (no longer lives with me) is also addicted to the sun! I used to tell people she had a tanning addiction. Her favorite thing to do was lay out on my old driveway on sunny days πŸ™‚
