MsBeer :  Thank you! It took me 6 months, but there was a whole lot of quitting and holiday treats in there so I’m trying to focus on the positives (like how much beter I feel) instead of how long it took lol.

desertgypsy :  CONGRATS!! Mine doesnt really have to deal with work, but it’s my relationship with my bebe and my puppies. They are all so loving and understanding, and I realized my dogs dont really have night vision bc we played hide n seek in the dark last night, and they were looking around and i was right next to them the entire time. lol

HAVE A GREAT DAY

I LOVE hearing other peoples positivties!

It’s been a really awful year for me so far, BUT I got accepted for a job that has my dream hours and better pay, so yay!

There’s a week inbetween old job and new job, annoyingly Darling Husband is working the whole time so no mini-vacay for me but I’m going to do a lot of decorating, catching up on netflix and wine-day drinking in pj’s! Relaxation time!

Congrats on the new job!! Hooray for you for doing it even though you were scared!

Good things in our life: my husband recently got his first big boy job out of school and we got our first pet recently, a hedgehog named Tiki!

I’m sooo happy, I want to jump and crawl on the floor and dance like Jlo. (thank God). It’s not because of a particular reason but I feel like I can finally see a good future (inshaAllah – a religious term to express if God wills) .

I’m thankful that all my family is healthy, we have no significant problems, we all have jobs (economy in my country is really bad atm), we’ve started to buy furnitures and stuff for our own flat with my fiance, marriage is only a few months away (wow 4!). We’ve celebrated my fiance’s 27th birthday yesterday and today, I’m so happy to be with such a loving and dreamy partner.

Right now though, I’ve just heard Alec Benjamin’s Let me down slowly for the first time. Although lyrics aren’t upbeat at all, this song makes me almost high.

I have something good! My fiancé has been hard of hearing since birth. He went to an audiologist as a kid who measured him at mild to moderate loss. They said they didn’t know what was causing it but that he should get hearing aids. He was afraid of getting teased so he never got them and has just been half-deaf his whole life. Until now! We went to an audiologist/ENT yesterday who finally diagnosed him with sensorineural congenital hearing loss, which sounds bad but it’s actually great because we finally know what we’re dealing with! We then made an appointment for a hearing aid consultation in a couple weeks! He’s so excited to try them out and see what a difference they’ll make. I’m just so happy for him, I’ve been happy-crying on and off since the appointment because I know how much he struggles every day and we’re finally on the right track to a solution! It’s a really great step forward and I can’t wait to see how much of an improvement this makes in his life!!

desertgypsy :  my baby is growing healthy and strong. There are no chromosomal abnormalities and my mom has finally accepted that we 1) won’t be finding out if it’s a boy or girl until birth and 2) that we won’t be announcing on social media until birth either.

I’ll be 19 weeks on Monday and just so happy everything is going smoothly. I’ve been enjoying the second trimester, too!

It turns out I don’t have to fly out for a last minute work trip this week so I’ll be home for this baby’s first birthday!!

and yes, that’s his giant stuffed burrito.
