2YorkiesMama:  nothing is set in stone yet but we will more than likely have the rehearsal the day before and i will probably go home or to the room we will be renting for the day of the wedding so a 2 night  stay at a hotel. If not a hotel at home and my Fiance will have to stay at his parents house. I just want to relax the day before and try and sleep. Maybe take a sleeping pill or something to help sleep cuz i know i will be to excited to pass out.

I spent the night before my Vegas wedding with my hubby. Now we are doing a more formal wedding and I’ll spend the night before with my sister, hopefully watching wedding movies at the hotel….

I will be staying in a suite at the hotel where our room block will be the night before with my bridesmaids…just hanging out and drinking some wine. And there’s a huge jacuzzi tub so I will definitely be getting a lush bath bomb to relax in the tub the night before!

Me and my Maid/Matron of Honor watched a LOT of say yes to the dress!! And I squealed a lot. Hyper, happy sleepover. It was amazing fun.

We had our rehearsal & rehearsal dinner at the venue, and spent about 2 hours decorating the venue.  Then my Maid/Matron of Honor and I spent the night together at the hotel.  We mostly talked about our high school and college days, and she read over her Maid/Matron of Honor speech with me because she was nervous about giving a speech.  The next morning, the rest of my BMs came and we had breakfast at the hotel and then went to the venue to start doing hair/makeup/get ready.  My mom, Mother-In-Law, and SILs met us there.

My Maid/Matron of Honor pretty much had a panic attack when it came time for speeches and one of my BMs stepped in, said a few words, and read my MOH’s speech.  My Maid/Matron of Honor is getting married in 2 days and I keep joking with her that I’ll just get out of doing a speech like she did. lol

  • Wedding: May 2015 - Walnut Hill Bed & Breakfast

After the rehearsal dinner, 3 of my bridesmaids and I are planning on staying over night on-location (it’s a bed and breakfast). They have a big room with 2 queen beds. We’re going to paint our nails and chat… i don’t think there’s a tv but taking a laptop with a movie wouldn’t be a bad idea!!

I’m kinda sad because my maid of honor won’t be able to stay. She has a 9 month old so it makes more sense for her to stay with her family… which works out because there’s only room for 4 of us in the room anyways. But i’ll miss her! I stayed over in a hotel with her before her wedding and it was a lot of fun!

We had a lot of out of town guests, so we spent the evening with them. We had planned to do nails with all the bridesmaids staying at our house, but we spent too long with the other guests, so us girls didn’t get started til late with the nails back at my parents’ house, and I was pretty tired (I think the other girls were, too). I wish we had done that sooner, but not all the girls were in town for us to go do it earlier.

I was also miserably sick! >.< I was sick the entire week before the wedding, and by that point had mostly lost my voice. Not exactly what I had imagined. I had hoped to get a good night’s rest the night before to kick it out of my system, but I was sharing a room with my bridesmaids. I had a nasty cough and kept trying to suppress it so I wouldn’t wake them up. I think I only slept about an hour! Ladies, PLEASE be sure and take care of yourselves! I had too many late nights that caught up with me.

Fortunately, on the day of the wedding, I did feel MUCH better–my voice came back, and all the joy of getting married made me forget how sick I felt. (I’m usually pretty susceptible to sickness, but ironically, I haven’t even had a sniffle since the wedding–nine months!)

It was stressful. We brought all the decor to the place the reception was going to be at – which took all day and was exhausting. Then, my bridesmaids came over to my house to sleep over. I went with one of my bridesmaids to Walmart to pick up a frozen pizza to eat. My bridesmaid excitedly gushed that I was getting married in the morning, and the cashier responded that marriages rarely work and it’d likely end in divorce.

Then I went home, cooked the pizza, and everyone ate. Then they kind of lounged around the house and I had to clean up the kitchen because the photographer was going to be there first thing in the morning. The last thing I did before going to bed was 409 my countertops. It was super magical.

2YorkiesMama:  That B&B looks beautiful!!!  Honestly, my husband and I treated the day before we got married like any other day because we were just going to the court house.  He had the day off work the night before and I had to work (we work an opposite shift).  We didn’t do the traditional not seeing each other (honestly we’re not very traditional).

I haven’t had mine yet (just over 2 weeks to go!) so i dont have much input. But I’m guessing rehersal dinner and a little bit hectic. I have a 2 year old too so we’ll see about that…may have to have inlaws staying over but groom will be at hotel. Dont think my bridesmaids are staying with me either..

So what I’m really here to say is that your night before looks AMAZING and I am totally jealous!! That is the cutest B&B I have ever seen and you and your mom are adorable! Hope it is as amazing as it looks and sounds like it will be 🙂

2YorkiesMama:  oh my gosh! That B&B is stunning! What a perfect place to unwind and relax before your big dad with your mom!

So my plan is Rehearsal dinner followed by some just hanging out with our guests by the pool. Saying farewell to my Fiance for the evening and turning in to my room that I’m sharing with just one of my bridesmaid to finish up my vows and hopefully turn in a little early. We’ll see how that goes though!

My bridal party were all long distance (an hour to an hour and a half drive) so I invited them all to spend the night. We planned to stay in, have some wine (not too much!) and watch silly movies but instead, they ended up finishing off the seating chart for me and painting my toe nails while we gabbed endlessly.

It was a ton of fun 🙂

We did the ceremony rehearsal at the park where our ceremony was going to be.

After that was done, we went to the venue that our rehearsal dinner was at – which was attended by any family or friends that were in town, or we felt like inviting. We had a taco/pizza buffet and people either stood around and chatted, or they could play pool. It was nice to catch up with some of my family that I don’t see as often as DH gets to see his extended… but also get some of them all mixed together to get to know one another. Everyone had a good time!

We got home around 10:30 or so, and then went to bed. I stayed at the house, cos I was doing my make-up in the morning and wanted to be in an environment that I knew for ease. It all worked out.
