I would try andrytalk to the travel agent about the possibility of switching, or the cost of transporting everyone once they land aboard different resort. I feel that bullying from any vendor is inappropriate and I would sue the photog for my money, or if you used a credit card contact the card company. Send them the post and their responce ansettee if the card willreimburse uou

@Tropicalbride:  I would be a bit concerned about the photographer situation as well, however…the photographer cannot just decide to cancel your contract without reimbursing you if they do not actually fulfill their end of the bargain…you are paying them to take photos and deliver them to you.  I would speak with the hotel about the photographer’s threats and your concerns. I am sure the hotel is a major provider of a lot of the photographers business and the photographer wouldn’t want to lose the hotel as a client.

Maybe the hotel would make an exception and allow you to bring someone else in given the circumstance.

That photographer is out of line. He’s probably just mad that you are talking about the bad reviews he has gotten. Personally, I think this is a big issue.

You need to contact the resort ASAP and tell them everything. The resort WILL side with you if you express yourself in a kind but direct manner. On top of making lots of phone calls, I would also draft a very professional letter and email it to management/corporate/etc.

1)Explain the post and what the photographer said (in the letter don’t copy paste the whole thing, just describe it)

2)Explain how it was you just worrying and going through what every bride does, seeking advice online. Second guessing your venue, wedding dress, colors, etc. is normal and so is getting overwhelmed. It’s all part of the process. Especially with so much stress, blah blah blah.This should be your biggest point.

3)you are not comfortable working with a photographer that basically threatens you based on a post on a wedding forum. He is out of line, and you feel this situation will compromise your day

3)you don’t like his attitude or appreciate him stalking you on line. A photgrapher is someone that is present during VERY intimate once in a lifetime moments…and you don’t want him

4) your photographer told you he will be cancelling your contract. By definition, HE has chosen to break that contract. Even if he changes his mind, you no longer trust him. You expect your money back, and have been left with no option but to book a different photographer.
