I’m allergic to seafood too.  As long as you supply a good veggie option though, it should be fine.

I’m a huge seafood eater, but I’d probably not be too thrilled with your menu. Sorry. I’d likely starve during cocktail hour because aside from the mushrooms not much else sounds appealing to me. For dinner I’d probably do the turkey. That being said, it’s not my wedding!

I would make sure you have a vegetarian main dish available. I would also add one platter/display or meats/cheeses, fruit, or vegetables, because as PPs said, people are picky. I’d be fine, but you want to make sure that’s an option.

If it helps, our venue offers a children’s meal, but we are not inviting everyone’s children. So, we made a “children” RSVP card for those guests whose kids are invited, giving them that option. I also quietly told 2-3 adult friends who are super picky that I can get them adult-portioned chicken fingers too. It’s best to approach those people than offer it to everyone; I still need to pay full price on the adult chicken fingers, and so I’d rather not give it to everyone just because they can, but to the people I know genuinely won’t eat the other options. I’d ask your venue if you can do the same for vegetarians.

mrsbrizz2017 :  Nah, you’re not country, I think popovers and Yorkshire puddings are both just regional.

Popovers:

Yorkshire puddings:

“A popover is a light, hollow roll made from an egg batter similar to that of Yorkshire pudding, typically baked in muffin tins or dedicated popover pans.”

Yum!! I’d eat all of that very happily!

The only thing I’d sub out is the prawn cocktail, purely because that can be a divisive dish (I work in corporate events) however if that’s what you want then have it 🙂

It sounds really nice/festive!

In regards to the veggie option, just keep in mind that not everything vegetarian is vegan (no animal products whatsoever), but everything vegan is vegetarian. By doing the veggie option vegan it ensures that literally anyone can have it (it’d be suitable for any kind of veg diet). I imagine it’d require you to communicate explicitly with the vendor that for the veggie option no animal products should be included. Just wanted to mention that in case it’d be helpful :). Best of luck! It sounds like you’ll have an amazing wedding!

It sounds really delicious but I’d sub out the prawn cocktail for a vegetarian option. Prawn cocktails are reminiscent of the 60s to 80s and not everyone likes seafood as lots of people have mentioned. Vegetarian options will also fit into your pescatarian diet too.
