Our first dance song is “You Belong to Me” by Jason Wade. No special reason other than it’s one of our favorite songs and it’s easy to dance to.

Buona Sera (Kiss me goodnight) – Louis Prima. Picked because when we heard it while watching an episode of Treme while on holiday in Barcelona, we both fell in love with it. We love that style as well and it’s great that it starts off slow before it kicks in for others to join in.

Mean to Me by Brett Eldredge. That’s the song that he wanted to dance to and one of the only things he had a strong opinion on throughout the planning process so I went with his choice.  I love that song also so it worked out.

All I Want-Staind. My husband and I LOVE rock music and it completely fit us and what we mean to each other. Beautiful lyrics along with rock you can’t go wrong.

jubiebee:  All of Me by John Legend. My fiance and I actually dated for several years, split up because we weren’t ready for marriage but felt like our lives weren’t going anywhere. So we were apart for about a year and a half before getting back together, and that song reminded both of us of each other. So when we got back together, it just seemed like the theme song for our repaired relationship 🙂

Currently: Where my heart will take me by Russell Watson.

Okay, so a few years ago a friend was visiting for his usual week from LA to San Diego. We all decided to binge watch Star Trek Enterprise because they are boys and I enjoy scifi (never saw this series) which has this cringe worthy song, Where my heart will take me, as the intro. We all kept talking about how horrible the song was each episode and then began to sing it. Near the last day of our friend’s trip he joked it would be the song we did our first dance to. Years later, when we visit him or he would visit us before our move east, we’d watch a few episodes and all crone the song to each other. When discussing first dance, we talked some Beatles, Rat Pack, or even a little Iron and Wine. Then my Fiance put on Where my Heart will take me and we both started cracking up and danced together.  Might not be what we stick with as we have a lot of songs, but it was the only one that caused us to dance when reviewing music.
