Happy Friday Bees!!
Tell me all your good news. Let’s get some positivity flowing on this hot ass Friday.
I’ll go first. My Darling Husband and I are finally DEBT FREE!!! 165k + interest in student loans all paid off in less than 5 years. Also, my Darling Husband just got a new job with a big pay increase.
Tell me yours!

Congratulations, bee! That is a huge accomplishment! Mine is nowhere near as exciting….but I just started weight watchers, and I lost 3.8 lbs in the first week! Hooray!

NikkiBee18 : That’s amazing! Congrats.
FH and I move into our new apartment exactly 1 week from today. It’s a brand new “luxury” complex and we’re very excited and fortunate to live there.

NikkiBee18 : hooray!! Along those lines, I just sent out the last of our medical bill payments, a heart attack for my husband followed by a scheduled tonsillectomy for my daughter six days later. Two months later and all of those bills have been paid!
Our pool had a hole in it and I was upset because the water had warmed up and now we had to drain it and I wasn’t sure if we needed a new liner (it’s one of those intex pools that only stay up in the summer) but the patch my husband put on seems to be holding and the pool is full again! It’s suposed to be a hundred degrees this weekend so even if the water is too cold to swim, it should warm up with these hot days!

I’m going down to visit my brother and sister in law this weekend 🙂
Just started talking to a guy I met on a dating site. We’ve talked on the phone twice now and it has been such a nice, easy flowing conversation. So much so neither of us wants to stop talking. Meeting up Sunday 🙂

SmartCookie1 : That is exciting. That’s a great start. I heard Weight Watchers has a new system now – how are you liking it?
bakerbee09 : Congrats! Moving to a new place is so fun. Well, maybe stressful and fun.
Sansa85 : Congratulations! You paid those off so fast. I hope your patch works. If it’s as hot where you are as where I am, you’ll definitely get some use out of the pool. It feels like pea soup out here.

We just moved after coming back from our honeymoon last week, and I have a job interview on Monday!

achicago : Omg! Congrats!! I hope everything goes exactly as you pictured it.
sweetdee89 : That’s so exciting. That beginning of a relationship talk-until-dawn-and-never-run-out-of-things-to-say thing is so amazing. Good luck on your date!

NikkiBee18 : What method or inspiration did you use to become debt free like that? Does that 165k include your mortgage?
TBH, I have not had any good news lately and it sucks. I’m in this rut of bad juju. Medical bills, feeling sick right before we leave TONIGHT for a trip.. BUT
We are getting away on a float trip this weekend. I’m taking all the vitamin C and cough drops I can to feel better and power through our float.
I talked to my boss about taking on more responsibilities and she is totally down for it, so I’m excited to see where that leads so that I’m not so bored at work!

kmbumbee190618 : awwwww i hope you’re able to enjoy your trip with all of the stress that you’ve had
NikkiBee18 : two of them sent out statements again so it didn’t feel too quick 😆 I’m happy to have that done. I finally took my largest student loan out of forbearance to start paying on it again, my credit cards are finally all set so now it’s onto the next, which would be the student loans. I was always paying on the smaller one but the largest one obviously just kept growing. Like pp, I’m interested in the method that you used as well, that’s such a huge accomplishment

MissCtoMrsR : Good luck on your interview!
kmbumbee190618 : Our method was just throwing all our money at it. We lived with my DH’s parents for a few years so that was a huge help. We paid rent but it was much much lower than we pay now so we were able to pay like $4000 a month on our loans. We have an apartment so that doesn’t include a mortgage. Buying a house is next up on the list.
I’m sorry you’re sick. I hope you feel better soon and that your trip works some healing magic on you.

NikkiBee18 : I had nachos and Diet Pepsi yesterday and I wasn’t felled by a host of aging-related after effects (I’m a spicy food lover who can’t eat as spicy as I used to without heartburn) plus there was no damage on the scale this morning (also a constant struggle) so now I’m feeling youthful and invincible. 😀
Congrats on paying off your student loans- that’s major!

Today is a coworker’s last day, and I got a piece of cake! 🙂 Also, I didn’t forget to bring the trash cans to the road before the truck left!
Congrats on the loan payoff!!!!

My guy just paid off a big consolidation loan and it feels AWESOME. He had to work really hard to never be late on a payment; now that it’s gone, he’s been able to start saving a lot more and have some breathing room (I’ve been getting spoiled haha). He also just moved up in his line of work so that’s exciting too! Proud of him.
