I love hearing/reading proposal stories from the grand gestures to the “let’s go get a ring” all are unique and lovely …
I have only been engaged for a few weeks so I’m in an engagement bubble atm 😁
Mine was random as hell (however we had spoken many a time of getting engaged/married so I knew it was inevitable eventually) we were on our way to a weekend away stuck in traffic, he was singing away changing up the lyrics to mention marriage and then just said “do you think you’ll marry me” I said “yes of course” (not taking it seriously) then he stuck a ring on my finger…I’ve only just come out of shock haha!

colourmeyellow : We were in an LDR and it was our first trip together. We went to Hawaii (domestic flight for me, international for him) because it was exactly halfway between where we each lived.
I met him at the airport parking lot and he got down on one knee in front of a large tree by the lei stands. He said he had been practicing the proposal while waiting for me to arrive and people had given him some stares. Haha I thought it was adorable!

Congrats! I’m still in the engagement bubble too.
My fiance had been planning since July for the proposal. We love the rennaisance festival where we live and go every year, and it’s actually the spot of what turned into our first date. He got all of our friends and family in on it too.
We made an event for the last day and in it he posted a challenge to beat him at the strong arm game. A couple weeks prior, he had asked me to play it with him, and I told him I would. When we got there with everybody, he pushed me ahead of him and had me go first.
After 3 failed attempts, he yelled out that if I rang the bell on the fourth try, he would get down on one knee. I managed to fail ringing the bell, but somebody rang one! I turned around and there he was on one knee holding out my ring. I said yes and cheers and major clapping followed. I didn’t realize just how many people were around. Lol

Hopefully this bubble doesn’t pop because I’m joining in! Haha.
Mine was completely random like your’s, OP, although not entirely the same. My Fiance said the way he did it was the only way it would remain a complete surprise. We’re both equally terrible at keeping secrets/finding stuff out (like if I guess an Xmas gift, he’ll just giggle and agree).
We were at an Oktoberfest celebration early lunch-time and it is in a park that sits by a river and has an old town with cute shops nearby. We walked through the fest and started to walk down a biking/hiking trail and he asked if I wanted to take a photo (of course I did) and I was completely oblivious the ENTIRE time as he asked a completely random couple to take our “photo” which was a video, and ta-dah he just popped the question. It was super short and quick and I was completely speechless!

I’m more of a big gesture person than my Fiance is so I decided to propose to him. I saw a proposal video online where the guy filmed himself proposing to his girlfriend everyday for a year before presenting her the video so I did a play on that. I did “365 Reasons I Love You” and filmed one reason (written on a dry erase board) every day for a year. I finished the video on our anniversary and I was planning on burning it to a dvd, writing “play me” on it, wrapping it, and giving it to him after our nice dinner out. But I couldn’t get the dvd to burn! I was freaking out because my plans were ruined but instead I decided just to show it to him on my laptop. While I was setting it up, my boyfriend wasn’t paying attention to me, he was talking about someone at work, and I said, “Hey, come here, I want to show you something,” and he assumed it was a cat video (haha) so he was like, “Fine, fine, hold on.”
As soon as the video started he knew it was going to be a proposal so he started tearing up. He loved it!
