- Wedding: April 2013
I saw this posted a few minutes ago and thought this would be fun in the local thread. It is a great way for bees to see local vendor choices and a fun way to share your wedding! Feel free to add more questions and this can also be about weddings that have already happened 🙂
I’ll start with my wedding!
Wedding Date: April 6, 2013
Engagement Length: 1 year 5 months
How many are coming?: 25-33 people all together (including bride and groom)
Colors: Navy, light pink, bright pink and white
Theme: Classic Charleston, not really sure of ours lol
Wedding Party(#s): 3 on each side
City and State of Wedding: Charleston, SC
Ceremony (where, time): The Confederate Home & College @ 4pm
Reception (where, time): McCrady’s – Cocktail hour @5pm
Dress Style: Paloma Blanca #4203 http://www.palomablanca.com/2012/06/16/gowns-collection-style-4203/
Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Pro hair/makeup – Serendipity Salon & Boutiques (Alayna Sllivan) Bellelina Makeup – Elina Mille
Honeymoon Location: Aruba (4-13-13) Marriotts Ocean Club
Flowers: First Bloom Charleston: Brides Bouquet – White Garden Roses, Bridesmaids bouquets – Pink Garden Roses (just garden roses for bouquets…I like the single flower look!) Garden Roses are a great alternative to Peonies! They were put of season for me.
First Dance Song: Still deciding! Come rain or Come Shine – Ray Charles is a fron runner
Centerpieces: Assorted milk glass vases: white and light/bright pink garden roses with white lilac, astilbe and berzillia berries as fillers. Also small white teacups and creamers as candle holders across the runners.
Food/Menu: If anyone has ever eaten at McCradys, they know there are multiple small course meals – so too much food to list!
Cake Vendor and Flavour: DeClares Cakes: I let Fiance pick the top tier. Top Tier: Pound Cake with a lemon curd filling and buttercream icing. Bottom Tier: Red Velvet Cake with cream cheese icing filling and buttercream icing…yum!
Favours: Palmetto Roses with Pralines.
DJ/Band/Ipod: DJ – Jay Maxwell’s Music by Request for reception and Classical Charleston for ceremony music.
Bachelorrete (when/what): St. Patricks Day weekend, staying at my FIs beach house on Oak Island then going to myrtle beach for festivities!
Rentals: Event works
Photographer: Charles Merry (CM Photography)
Officiant: Still have not gotten one, eek!
Where are you and the groom staying?: We are staying at The Joseph Aiken Carriage House during the wedding weekend. All bees should give it a look! It is inexpensive and you can’t beat the location. Beautiful suites (perfect for getting ready with the girls) in an old Charleston home! Excited for those pictures!
