@mannybear:  man, I love that song.

we’re using Rascal Flatts – Bless the Broken Road.  The lyrics are perfect for us.

Amazed by Lonestar. Right after we got engaged I heard it on the radio and starting tearing up. I could imagine us dancing to it and quietly singing it to each other 🙂

We were having SUCH a hard time trying to pick a song for our first dance.  At first we figured we’d just sway like high school kids because in all the videos of weddings I’ve seen, that’s just what the couple did and it was okay.  But after taking three basic dance lessons, we signed up for their 6 lesson Wedding Package where they choreograph your first dance for you.  FI does NOT dance at all and he really wanted to surprise our guests, especially the ones who know he can’t dance for crap.

So based on having it choreographed we’re doing a semi two songer – “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica and “Sway” by Michael Buble.  We’ll walk onto the dance floor and fake people out by swaying to the first 30 seconds of “Nothing Else Matters” and then the music will cut into the first minute and 15 seconds of “Sway” and we’ll do a ChaCha. 🙂  We’re really excited about this!  We’re not doing the whole song of Sway because our dance instructor said that ideal song length is 1 minute and 30 seconds because guests and audience members (of the performances their pros do) will lose interest after that time is up.

“Wanted” by Hunter Hayes… but not completely sold on it! lmao

a few weeks ago it was “Then”- Brad Paisley and before that it was “Marry Me”- Train… We’ve also looked at many many covers by Michael Buble… and Even contemplating dancing to “Everything”-Michael Buble (We both LOVE this song).. which would be nice since Fiance can’t really dance and it’d be a nice upbeat song to dance to. But Idk if that’d be too much Michael since we’re already planning of doing his cover of “Dream a little Dream” for the anniversary dance! MAybe I should change it to Louis Armstrong’s lol

Okay, question.  We are currently thinking of having “Brighter than the Sun” by Colbie Calliat as our first dance song.  I was excited about it because it’s fun, upbeat, and there’s no negative lyrics in it.  It’s literally sunshine in a song, lol.  We both like the song, but because it is more upbeat a few of our family members have commented that we won’t be able to dance to it.  Groomy said he’d spin me a lot.  What do you girls think?  We also have another song picked out which is a country song and could easily be slow danced too.  I think it suits us too.  Groomy had comments about the music but told me yesterday he doesn’t really care about it.  Kinda confused on what to think of that.  I dunno if I’m just putting too much pressure on myself or what.  Help, please!
