i temp and it’s easy. I am just nosey and like to see what my body is up to. I find it really interesting to have info on my cycles.

daniellemc :  As someone who tried for quite some time, I recommend not temping asap. It can add stress and make trying less fun! Give it a go for a few months just dtd like you planned on 🙂

lovechocolate :  I feel the same way. I recently read that book and while it was informative, it definitely stressed me out more.

It depends on what is going to stress you out more – temping and possibly knowing “too much”, or going a few months with BFNs and no idea if you’re ovulating or not.

Darling Husband and I went the second route. Just DTD month one based on when I thought I ovulated, and month two I pulled out the OPKs which just confused me even more because I never got a positive. We are on month 3 now and I’m temping because I honestly find it more stressful to be unsure of if, and when, I’m ovulating. We are 31 and 35 and I don’t want to spend 6 months DTD to then find out there’s something going on that I could have found out earlier from temping. After this month or next I will stop – it’s purely for my own information. And I find OPKing 2-3x a day for a week to be way more of a pain than temping for 1 minute when I wake up.

Personally if it were me and I had a month or two not on BC where we weren’t TTC, I’d temp then so that I was going into TTC armed with as much info about my body as possible. I wasn’t on BC for the last 4 years and really wish I had done it then, instead of now when I am hoping for a BFP every month.
