It’s my first month charting, and I would greatly appreciate some help from you ladies with more experience. I temp vaginally (huge mouth sleeper (very embarrassing on airplanes)), so I temp vaginally. I’m also using the walgreens bbt therm that received horrible reviews,in large part for spitting out the same temps over & over (although I hope there is not a next month, I plan on using a new therm).
Anyway, I usually temp around 6:05 am. Last night I fell asleep on the couch and bit off dh’s head for trying to get me to come to bed. I’m cranky when my sleep is I interrupted. I woke up & came to bed around 4:30. My sleep was super restless because I was stressed about how the 4:30 couch to bed transfer would impact my temp. I woke up at 6:05 as per normal & took my temp. It was 97.58, which was the exact same as Friday’s temp. I took it twice more & both times were 97.58, which made me think my thermometer was acting up. I set my alarm for 7:30 to wake up & decided to take my temp again. Of course, it was way higher at 98.17.
Sorry for the novel, but my question is: do I just use the first temp or should i disregard it because of poor sleep conditions? I’m supposed to O tomorrow, so I’m tempted to enter the higher temp on my chart. I appreciate any help. I don’t post often, but I’ve been following the ttc boards since november. Good luck to all of you!
