I have one and you get used to it.  It doesnt really soften up that much. So I keep that pillow and a feather pillow for whenever I want something fluffy.

The tempurpedic is really good for your back and neck once you can get used to using it.

can you post a pic of it?  I have the memory foam pillows.  I love them.  Is it cold in your house?  Because if it is cold they get rock hard.  But they will soften up as the temperature increases.  I’ve left mine out in the car in the winter and it takes hours for the pillow to soften up.

I love memory foam pillows though.  I will never go back to normal pillows again.  I have neck and back problems too.  They don’t really make those problems go away, but the pillows do provide more support.

My Fiance had a tempurpedic mattress when I moved in and it was SO HARD to get used to!  But it took about 2 or 3 weeks to get used to and now I love it.  Same thing with the pillow.  I actually felt kind of sore after a few days but I’m fine with it now.  It’s actually much better for you, if you can stick it out!

I didn’t know it took time to adapt to them!  Glad this thread is here.

I have horrible neck/back issues myself which are getting drastically worse lately & can’t find a pillow that doesn’t tweak my neck.

I have a tempurpedic pilllow but haven’t been too crazy about it.  I will give it another try.

I have a memory foam matress (same as tempurpedic without getting charged for the brand name) and I freaking love it! I’m actually really disappointed when I go to hotels now, because other beds don’t measure up! Never tried the pillow, though.

Oh girlllll, once you go that way, you never go back! Provided that the mattress or pillow is of EXCELLENT quality. I have the tempurpedic pillows and mattress from them and it is AMAZING. Yes, it can get hard but only if it’s cold. I have never had this problem though. (But I know it gets hard in the cold when I was transporting it once to my FI’s place.)

I used to wake up in all kinds of minor aches and pains and now I have none. I actually do feel RESTED. Whoa! What a feelin’!

My sister swears by her pillow.  My dad always tries to steal it from her.

BTW  – For Christmas my dad got one of these:

It is basically a glorified travel neck pillow with those stupid beans/balls in it.  It is very soft/squishy but really no support.
