do you have a pole tent or a frame tent? ’cause ceiling treatments aren’t going to make your poles disappear…

for the swags, it depends on how you plan on positioning them and how sparsely you want them to be placed.  were you looking at that last inspiration as how you want your ceiling swags? I think for horizontal swags like that, my vendor suggested that we do 8 swags in our 40×80 tent – but don’t know what the length would be, sorry 🙁

@aliebride: my venue has a frame tent – so we were talking about 8 swags going across the width of the tent from one side to the other side.

I feel like with a pole tent you don’t really need ceiling swags – isn’t the ceiling of a pole tent all fabric already? in a frame tent, ceiling swags can help hide the metal parts.  maybe you just want some fabric to wrap around your poles?

I’m not sure what we’re doing for our ceiling yet, hehe – still debating whether it’s worth the cost or not.

@aliebride: you could make the second chandelier by attaching a grapevine wreath to the bottom of a plywood circle nailed to a 2×2 upright. You can then decorate around the 2×2 with more grapevine, foliage etc and place some battery operated candles.

Hang with a pulley system so they can be lowered to turn on the lights and then raised into position.

@aliebride: I asked about a liner, but they don’t have one for our tent either 🙁

with a pole tent, I might actually focus on lighting treatments rather than fabric treatments to soften the tent if that’s what you’re looking to do.

of course, this is assuming you’re having an evening wedding and not a daytime wedding.

gah! I know the wedding is so soon! I’m both excited and a little panicked as to the amount of stuff I still have to figure out =P
