We chose this date mainly because it will be my grandparents 56th anniversary 🙂 Also, Im Australian so it’ll be autumn which, is the best time of the year for weddings here. We’re getting married at 10.30 am and I cant wait!
Any more 10th of April brides?
Obviously it would be a different 10th of April here than in America, but the dates the same 🙂

Aww, I like the sentimentality of getting married on a significant anniversary! That’s beautiful! My fiancee and I are considering moving our date to 4/10/2010, but we haven’t set it in stone yet. It would be spring here. Hopefully warm, but not sweltering. We’re in Georgia, though, so you never know!

Us too, us too! We wanted to get married right after Easter, when the church is still full of beautiful Easter flowers. And my parents’ anniversary is the 11th.

I’m loving the 4.10.10 date as well. And I had not even thought about the Easter flowers — a nice added benefit!

I just put a hold on the 10th of April for our wedding this morning – I love Easter – it’s my favorite holiday – and I think it would be ideal! We haven’t even been engaged for 2 weeks yet but I’m already so excited!

As theknot.com reminded me today, we have 10 months to go! I feel like I have plenty of time, but I’m slowly chipping away at my to do list. Here’s what I have so far…
Ceremony and Reception Sites Booked.
"Test Dress" ordered from WhirlingTurban.
Inkjet Printer purchased for DIY invitations.
Working on getting quotes from caterers (this one has been frustrating).
Working on final guest list/wedding party list. Fiance has a big family!
How far along is everyone else?

I have booked the ceremony & reception site (it’s the same place for both), the photographer, caterer, videographer, dj, and have my dress ordered. We also have decided to do our own invitations, and have nailed down a couple of different designs that we like. My goal is to get as much of the "big-ticket" items squared away early so that I can focus on the other smaller personal touches. The only real big thing left is the florist.
Guess I’m further along than I thought I was! :0)

I have the Church and the dress (as of yesterday – yay!) but working on a venue…hopefully get that in the next two weeks. Also started looking into photographers… Wish it was sooner!!!

We are at the less than 300 days mark ladies… 🙂

I’m a 4-10-10 bride too! I’ve gotten the venue, officiant, photographer and my dress taken care of. Plus some of the little thinkgs. I’m working this week on wedding invitations. I’m having custom artwork done for these so I wanted to get an early start.
Time is flying by! Can’t wait!
