Call your doctor Tuesday morning or walk in and get your meds adjusted.  It’s very normal to need to change or up meds every few years.  Meanwhile, try to be around your friends and family so you stay busy and stop thinking about hurting yourself; it’s good that you realize it’s a bad idea but be extra safe and stay around other people so you don’t have the chance to hurt yourself.

If the feeling gets too strong over the long weekend, call the hotline: NATIONAL SELF-INJURY HOTLINE 1-800-DONT-CUT.

@Laurenplusalex:  Can’t you explain that you are feeling loads of anxiety (and you are being treated for it) so please can you leave work and go be with family and friends?

What medication do you take? Do you have any Xanax, ativan (that your dr has prescribed, of course)

You need to call your mother, or some family member/best friend to be with you. Even with adjustments to meds, this overwhelming feeling isn’t good until your body adjusts. I would suggest talking to a professional, like you already have scheduled and getting suggested readings from them. There is a difference between good changes and bad changes. I’m not sure if there is anything else going on, but being engaged and getting married is a wonderful thing. Focus on the joy and love in your life right now. Think positive thoughts. This is a very special time in your life. You deserve to be happy and know that there are people who love and support you.

You either need to be with a friend or family memeber who can watch over you or go to the hospital and tell them you have intentions of hurting yourself. Non of us are medical professionals treating you so to say what meds might work right now is not helpful. Get yourself to a safe place.
